DSlite.

The games themselves aren't graphical powerhouses, and the updated screen size doesn't increase in resolution, it's just stretching the image.

Current screens are fine until the next actual DS (Y)

Plus lower battery life, and no homebrew options as of yet!

If you want to play GBA Games, Guitar Hero, homebrew or rumble in your games, then go for DS Lite. Otherwise, go for DSi. Apparently, the DSi's brightest setting is brighter then the DS Lite, and the one below it is more comparable to the DS Lite's highest setting and the battery life that comes with that.

DS Lite. For a number of reasons:

1. The screen resolution is the same, so you get the same quality graphics but with less battery life.

2. No GBA support means you can't use DS -> GBA features present in various games like Pokemon and you can't play games that require specific accessories like Guitar Hero or the new Tony Hawk.

3. It's basically the GBA -> GBA SP -> GBA Micro story all over again. The first sucks, the second is perfect and the third is just milking it for all it's worth.

Im definitely going to get a DSi ween there released in the US. I still have the original DS and its a little banged up so its about time for a new one any way alltho the DSi is not revers compatible with GBA games from what I have read , but I do not play GBA games so the DSi seems like the right pick for me. :D

My brother recently bot a DS light so he is most likely not going to buy one.
