[Pic] Cleaning your BBQ for Summer

Recommended Posts

all it takes is google the picture of a bee ?????!??

we are all IT pros here still no one knows how to use google to find what insect is living in his BBQ??

It took those bees years and years to form a stable healthy colony, I hope the OP enjoyed his BBQ knowing this.

look like a bit of the US attitude.. you go for extermination before actually plugging in the brain..

What was he supposed to do?

Call a Bee keeper.

Call a bee keeper, he would have removed them for free. Also the bees would be put to good use in agricultural lands which need them and everyone could enjoy some sweet honey :)

Exactly.

The majority of honey bees are not dangerous and this despicable act was truly unnecessary. Wouldn't it have been so much better to have pictures of a bee keeper actually removing the colony? I'm guessing the person was after; shock and awe. People that do these types of things are really capable of much worst and most likely have.

Agreed. If he felt brave, he could have even attemted this himself.

My dad used to work with bees and once had to go in to a shed that had a huge infesteation of Bees. He walked in with the gear on, found the center of the hive and pumped it full of the sleepy stuff. Then he put his hand in and felt around for the queen. He took the queen and carried her to a new hive he had for her at the keepers grounds and put her in there. The other bees turned up about 3 hours later and the shed was empty, other than a few that hung around, which they where able to erradicate with normal pest control substances.

What this guy just did was really not needed at all

ok, so you took out some bees, wasted some good honey, you may still be able to use the wax for a candle or something, but NOW you have to clean all the chemicals off the BBQ before it is fit for using.... good luck with that, that stuff sticks.

This mans got a point.

I think your question has been answered a few times!

Totally agree with your sentiment! This sort of horrific attitude, towards living creatures that are doing what they were intended to do, makes me sick to the core! I am actually sorry that I saw this!

thats like a 500+ kill streak

M-M-M-M-Multi KILL!!!!!!!!!!!!

All those people attacking him for that should stfu, you have no right to crucify this man for providing me with such ENTERTAINMENT!

It may have been better for the environment if he called some bee keepers.

But all this stuff about not knowing whats killing the bees, Hate to burst your worry bubble but they already know its a parasite, and only stubborn bee farmers now are the ones not willing to use the parasite killer.

I was on an ORGANIC bee farm, and yes there is a "deemed" organic repellent for this!

Being as I was only interested in getting honey I don't remember what it was called if I was even told, so don't go askin :D.

Zab, Out.
