We're working on getting a new pipe.

It's a 20mb fiber line, for the entire campus. My boss and I are desperately trying to figure out how to convince the powers that be that we need more bandwidth, but we're in the middle of a budget crunch and with the economy in the tank I don't know how successful we'll be. That was on a Saturday afternoon during break when no one was on campus, and I was plugged directly into our network core.

Otherwise it's quite crappy. Even with a traffic shaper/blocker that drops all P2P and limits bandwidth hogging applications, it still is quite unbearable in the day time.

I love it when the students are sleeping/gone.
