LightEco
Ok, here is the really weird problem I am having. My Xbox is having issues streaming most, but not all, titles from Netflix in the NXE. For example, The new season of CSI does not work, but all seasons of CSI: NY work fine. Another example, All seasons of Heroes do not work, but The Office in HD works perfectly. It also seems that no full movies at all work. I get the "Playback for this item could not be started" error for everything that doesn't work. I contacted Netflix and after about an hour of troubleshooting, they told me there was nothing wrong on their end, so it must be something on my end. Here's where it gets really interesting. I connected my 360 to my computer via Ethernet Cable, and connected my computer to my router wirelessly. Then I bridged my wireless and wired connections on my computer together to allow the 360 to connect to Xbox Live via my computer. Netflix works perfectly here. Every title is playable. However, If I reconnect my Xbox directly to my router, only the select titles work. Does anyone know how I can resolve this issue? I mean, the source of my router for internet is the same for both situations, but if it goes through the network bridge on my computer, it magically works. Does the Network Bridge change something that I can change on my router? Any help here would make my day a lot better!
NoLiMiT06
Hmm that is strange, what type of router are you working with? It may have something to do with your ip by some odd chance, you can assign your 360 a static ip by setting it up on the router and then on the 360. See if that for some strange reason works... Let me know :)
LightEco
I have a Linksys WRT350N router. I tried giving the Xbox a static IP of 192.168.1.106 and it works fine for Xbox Live, but I am still limited on Netflix.
NoLiMiT06
Are you connecting wireless or hardwired?
LightEco
Both the computer and Xbox are wired to the router. However, when I do the network bridge, the Xbox is wired to the computer and the computer is wireless to the router.
-Nic-
Sounds like you have a closed NAT. http://www.xbox360forum.com/forum/xbox-liv...xbox-360-a.html Try this and see if it fixes anything.
LightEco
I tried DMZ and port forwarding, but none made a difference. Also, it says I have an Open NAT all the time anyway.
LightEco
Update: Today Netflix stated that they "fixed" streaming problems that many users had. Now, The Office in HD works perfectly for me, but a lot of the items that worked before now don't work and they ones that didn't work, still don't work. Gah! NoLiMiT06
Damn dude that sux, I am at a loss. I am sure it is not a actual connection issue as far as the internet goes since you can stream HD no problem. And since you are in the US I doubt it is a region issue. Maybe try clearing the cache on the 360 to see if that help and uninstall and reinstall netflix to see if that works as well.
