typeadam
I've been using the "MaxGlass" theme for ever now b/c I like the simpleness of it. It makes the taskbar, title bar, start menu, and other things that follow suit transparent and that's it. However, I'd like to now have the BLACK taskbar from the standard Aero style that appears when a window is maximized BUT I'd like to retain transparancy everywhere else. Is that possible? Perhaps w/ Restorator and ResHack it is? I've done the "start button" many times so I'm familiar w/ the programs but I'm just wondering if this can be done. Thanks! Malskazz
sure, i could easily do it for you if you uploaded the exact msstyle, but you could always do it yourself its not hard. just open the msstyle in an editor and find file 743.. Open it in photoshop, CTRL + A, then CTRL + C then just press CTRL + V a bunch of times then the transparency disappears and you can save the image and replace it in the msstyle and voila.. Could you upload such an msstyle and link me? I just want the original Aero by Microsoft VS, edited so that the transperancy is always opaque black like the OP already mentioned. joeblogg
are you using vista or are you using a theme that you have installed onto xp. because i don't have vista so i can't really answer your question if its about vista.

Thanks I'll give that a shot! I was actually hoping someone would refer to the resources, I actually found them easier to work w/ if I'm able to edit them myself! typeadam
Wait...I just opened the msstyle in "Restorator 2007" and the image "743" is a 1pixel x 30 pixels.. it looks like a this vertical line.. Is that it?? That makes up the task bar? I just want to make sure before I start editing the wrong images... Thanks EDIT: Nevermind, I just tried it... it works... thanks again!
