what about a heart being ripped out infront of someones face' arms being blown off and sucked into other dimensions' or someone being buried alive but in several bits n peices. also had a guy forced to kill himself with his own moves. most of these characters are ones with backstories as well. its gotten better :)

pah nothing on Nazi zombies eating babies...

it's looked down on for two reasons 1. the fanbase 2. it is aimed at kids FFS when you have things like Genocyber, Angel cop, Bast4rd, and Queen's blade out there it's kinda obvious as to what age group it's aimed at.

Bahhh, I had a good reply, but my computer decided it didn't want to cooperate with me and it was lost. The gist of was that just because it's made for kids (and Naruto isn't) doesn't mean it's bad. Naruto has the same age rating that Neon Genesis Evangelion has, btw.

naruto shippuuden is a great quality anime. the art style is well done' music compositition is great' and the story has some good meanings and twist. id rate it higher than bleach' though i enjoy bleach more..... dunno why lol. maybe its that naruto started broadcasting in hd.. or sort of hd lol.

According to a source (dattebayo) neither Bleach or Naruto are in true HD. They're just upscaled. At most it's upscaled 480i. Take that for what it's worth though.

My opinion is Naruto (upto episode 220) is aimed more at kids where as Shippuden is more like all audience. Naruto is my favourite anime btw :jump:

And it's really getting to the interesting bit now. There's gonna be quite number of deaths to come :p Can't wait for this weeks manga chapter to come out too :D

this is one of my favorite pics.

Death Note! I sure loved that series. That dude Light sure was crazzy and wicked.

Inuyasha was nice for about 60 episodes, after which it became repetive and mostly fillers. It should have ended in 80 episodes at most. It's nice for a girl's anime but not for me.

Great Naruto chapter this week :) I just love it when Madara gets all "I'm the old powerful guy that knows everything". Only thing that I didn't like is the ongoing "Hawk vs Kumo" fight. I find it too confusing, but it may be just me :/

Fights in naruto shippuuden seem to drag on for too long. And the pace of the action is a lot more slower than in the original naruto.

A teacher walked into my class today, telling us he had just watched Naruto during his work. No one answered but me and 2 others. Cool way to find out who watches anime and who doesn't :p

Ha, nice.

Ya, the fights do last a little longer in shippuuden. I remember the puppet one was like 10 episodes it seemed lol. But, its normally all great. I can't say I haven't enjoyed a single bit of the manga yet or anime that has stuck to the story. And to talk about long fights, how long has Bleach had this royal rumble going :p What a great chapter. Love was awesome, and his weapon was just insane! I can't wait to see #1's pack in action. This looks like it will be a great battle. Both of these series I'm afraid are at their peak. I'm sure it will be great until they end these current arcs, but I fear we could be ending some great ones again. I just don't see the stories going further once they finish up what is currently going on.

movie this month.... Since it wasn't released on the 3rd, it should be Sept. 30th :)

Ok I just finished the movie "The End of Evangelion", That is one screwed up writer you got there. I thought the last episode was funny, but really this movie takes the cake.

I think the writer poured his decades of experience being in love with his mother and being rejected by every girl he meet and blend it into this movie.

Ha, nice.

being wait for fade to black for sometime

and it has been confirmed for release in the 30th , a while ago

cant wait :woot:

Heart-warming episode of Tokyo Magnitude 8.0, awesome to see Mari finally find her family

A bit uncertain as to what is going to happen with Mirai and Yuuki now, the background music gave off an odd vibe towards the end :s

Radish?

I haven't seen Bleach or Naruto for a while now.

I heard that Naruto is back on its main arc again, is that true? Those fillers were getting annoying.

I'm scared to watch the recent Bleach fillers too :s

An anime without fillers would have to derail from the manga at some point when it catches up. Bleach and Naruto put fillers in when they start to catch up, only to expand the story and give the manga more time to get ahead.

They could, instead, do a 26-episodes-on, 26-episodes-off schedule to stay behind the manga.

Why not?

too much of a wait. instead of waiting 26 weeks for something new, we can have about 10 weeks of filler and the rest story based. Some filler is not bad as well. Bleach is proving that atm. If more filler was like this, I'd say it would be very welcomed to have such mini stories.

It's when the filler is pointless filler, like beach volleyball or visiting grandma type stuff. If it is filler that explains back story or secrets of the history, im normally all for it.

And to add to that they need to be appropriately timed fillers too. I don't like this breaking off right in the middle of a huge fight stuff. Naruto at least hasn't done that yet. They make their fillers happen at fairly slow spots in the story, at least. Not that any of the Naruto fillers have been worth watching..

    • Microsoft AI boss no longer believes that AI will replace human workers by David Uzondu Mustafa Suleyman, the head of Microsoft AI, recently took back his statements concerning white-collar jobs that he gave to the Financial Times in an interview made back in February, where he claimed that AI would replace office workers within 12 to 18 months. On Monday's episode of The Verge's Decoder, Suleyman recast the technology as more like a helpmate than a tool designed to take over your job. He explained that smaller office duties will "increasingly become digitized, automated" as people generate more digital materials. During the discussion, Suleyman emphasized a "very important distinction" between "tasks" and "jobs" to clarify his previous claims. He argued that his earlier comments only referred to individual actions that people perform at their desks. Suleyman used to work for DeepMind, the research lab he co-founded in 2010 alongside Demis Hassabis and Shane Legg, before he left in 2022 to establish Inflection AI and build an empathetic digital assistant. Microsoft hired him in March 2024 to lead its newly formed "Microsoft AI" division, placing him in charge of consumer products like Copilot, Bing, and Edge. His February comments also detailed plans for Microsoft to achieve self-sufficiency with a $140 billion infrastructure budget to train frontier models, predicting that creating a customized AI will soon feel like creating a podcast or a new blog: The 41-year-old is not the only AI executive who's softened his "AI will replace you" stance. OpenAI's CEO, Sam Altman, last month used X to push back against employment panic by arguing that his startup builds tools to assist humans rather than build replacements. He had previously garnered backlash by suggesting that many modern office roles that AI might replace did not qualify as "real work" in the first place, at least when you compare desk jobs to physical, historical labor like farming.

    • Meta will now use data from outside businesses to personalize AI responses by David Uzondu In an update that's rolling out globally (except in a handful of countries), Meta will use your data from outside businesses to personalize your AI responses and your primary feeds. Meta already utilizes your shopping activity to target ads, but the company now plans to expand this tracking to personalize other "parts of your experience" like feed algorithms and AI assistant chats. The company is replacing the two settings ("Your activity off Meta technologies" and "Activity from other businesses") that currently let you disconnect off-platform activity with a single, renamed setting called Activity from other businesses. If you don't want Meta to manipulate your feed and AI responses using your outside history, you can just turn the Activity from other businesses setting off in your account settings. This toggle resides within your Accounts Center, applying your choice to every connected profile. Turning this off will not stop companies from sending your data to Meta. The company will still collect your web interactions, but it only uses them to train products, while still accessing external accounts you connect. When The Verge spoke to Meta spokesperson Emil Vazquez, the representative said that this update will exclude several locations at launch, including the European region, the UK, Brazil, Thailand, South Africa, Turkey, South Korea, Ecuador, Nigeria, and Kenya. The new update comes at a time when the social media giant is recovering from a major PR disaster involving generative AI. Last week, there was a huge security issue on Instagram where attackers figured out a way to trick Meta AI into handing over account ownership (even if the victim had 2FA enabled). Some of the affected accounts include the dormant Obama White House profile, cosmetics brand Sephora, the Chief Master Sergeant of the Space Force, and security researcher Jane Manchun Wong. Internally, the company also had to scale back plans on its Model Capability Initiative (MCI), an employee-monitoring program designed to train corporate AI models by recording worker keystrokes and screen activity, after employees raised privacy concerns and complained about severe battery life drain.
