@yurithedragonhalf: I'm sure he meant Hellsing Ultimate since that series is shorter in episodes then the original.

it's shorter in terms of episodes but ever since six came out in run time it is now neck and neck so when the next two or three come out it will be in run time alone longer than the TV series...

gah i stopped watching bleach anime cause it derailed off the main storyline.. but from what i read it seems to be really good. Which episode does it start with (the current arc) ?

the new filler arch "materialization of Zanpukto "start from 230.

229 is just regular filler which has nothing to do with new arch

yea ,but i were talking about the hollow which i am not sure if he still possess it

but in the end he does ....since he has same abilities as ishigo + madness :p

i think it is kindda wiard thro ...seeing GT blast in blue then the usual Black+red look blast

iirc the black-red GT is brought ought by the Tensa-Zangetsu right? While in the normal shikai form its blue isn't it?

Well, there lies the question. Renji finally unleashes his zanpak, so we can only assume that their real power is still with in them somehow, and what they are fighting are some form or part of their zanpaks. That, or maybe they are able to reclaim their powers with enough will to provoke their zanpaks back to them.....

Bleach kinda pretty much seems to ###### fillers ("Gimme More, Gimme More!"), I mean they seem to inserted one when it seems like the ending of Bleach anime is soon... either that or some cool revelations. Either way, imo, filler episodes take Bleach rating for me from 5 to 3 while the in-episode filler takes it down from 3 to a rating of 2.

Key word bolded. Your link also says:

Tsurumaki had control over the movie more than Anno. A lot of people believe that it was Anno's depression that led Evangelion to become more and more focused on character's mental state more than financial issues.

I think the depression might have helped shape Evangalion to be as good as it became. I never actually thought that the depression could have been the ruining point of the anime.

Well I hope that Rebuild of Evangalion will have a very nice ending just like End of Evangalion. I doubt they will dare (imagine the hate mail from that as well as the loos of profit...) to make the last movie be a philosophical lecture that takes place in mind.

The thing is that you do not make a show take a sharp turn during the last two episodes, unless you have no other choice. Just like you do not make the last two episodes of a serious anime become comedy...

EOE pretty much finishes up the story after Death (NGE). It feels like it is an appropriate ending compared to 25 and 26. It may be too much for some as it feels rather accelerated compared to the series, but one must not forget that it is a movie. The purpose of it all is revealed, there is philosophy about individuality, all the characters behave like themselves, asuka after learning the truth delivers a very nice fight scene. The ending seriously delivers as I see it. I just low how it uses and modifies ideas from western religions, portrays Lilith, has mind-boggling imagery , toys around with emotions of the main characters, etc.

I seriously want to see what alternative conclusion there will be with ROE. With modern CGI and digital animation, and a mind like that of the creator of Evangelion, I don't think I will be dissapointed. :D

Well, to be fair, if they didn't make filler story lines then they would have had to end the anime already. I prefer crappy fillers every once in a while that I can skip if I please to having them end the anime with some stupid ending that wasn't in the original design for the show/manga.

If you want an example of how bad this sort of ending would be look at the anime Claymore vs the manga.

An anime without fillers would have to derail from the manga at some point when it catches up. Bleach and Naruto put fillers in when they start to catch up, only to expand the story and give the manga more time to get ahead.

We have learned that animes that stick to their manga origins do very well. There are a few that have derailed and still held their own, but most seem to go horribly wrong. Id rather have a couple horrible episodes here and there that can thrown out as side story than to have the whole series ruined by a horrible ending.

I fail to see how fillers are better than either pausing and waiting for the manga to catch or actually having enough brainpower to start making the anime once the manga is finished. Obviously the intent here was to make filler (if as I understand you, you are saying that the manga is still unfinished)... It is also somewhat bad to put filler just as you would expect an awesome fight scene and what not...

It is also not a justification to try to do every trick in the book to extend the length of an episode - longer power up scenes, irrelevant humor in serious scenes, motion being replayed form different angles, motion/actions taking too long, pointless hesitation in battle, unnecessary thinking, scenes where nothing is moving and just the camera pans the obvious surroundings / situation, etc - adds up to about at least five minutes of irrelevant content.

There are seriously not many shows that can go on for a long time and still interesting to watch. This is the fundamental truth, a shorter series is more likely to have a better storyline (the ~26 episode animes seem the best imo). There are some exceptions, but they are rather rare.

I would mostly agree with you, but we can't change how things work sadly. Because anime series run year round with an occasional week off here and there. I would prefer animes to not be created until the manga is finished. But in the case of long running manga/anime series what are you going to do? Delay a huge hit anime because you don't want to cash out of your huge hit manga yet? One Piece, Naruto, Detective Conan (Case Closed), and Bleach would not exist today if they subscribed to your theory because they still all have ongoing mangas.

Incase you haven't seen it, the anime I mentioned Claymore does such a thing. Ended because the manga is not finished yet, it's still on going..the problem being that the chapters for the manga have a huge amount of time between them, something like several months. So what did they do because they didn't want filler? They wrote a different ending into the anime and it took an awesome series and made it crap. Some might like it, but I really doubt any who do have read the manga. I hope that when the manga finally does finish we'll get a proper and complete anime translation for it, though.

Also there is no way they could fit any of the shows I mentioned above into even 26 episodes and have any sort of coherent story even had they ended the shows earlier than what was intended from the manga. Coincidentally I started watching Bleach just after the 26th episode was released and I thought the show was finished when I started it. I was in for a surprise.

lol traj. we were all in for a surprise with bleach. i thought after the bounto arc it was dead. glad to see it hasnt let me down yet though. im on my cell' so this will look like crap. other dude looking for another anime' seems like you might enjoy naruto shippuuden . it picked up on the action and has a good story as well imho.

Try Darker Than Black, Ergo Proxy, Or Last Exile. Do you like racing? More specifically street racing? Then check out Initial D.

Add Overdrive (if you like sports), Nodame Cantabile (music/romantic comedy) and Stranger of the Sword (action/adventure) to that list.

    • Wow, this is some Iran, Cuba, China, Russia, North Korea-level citizen surveillance right there, the UK's government has gone totally mad. Power trip indeed, their politicians are totally out of control about this issue. They're starting to cross limits I wouldn't have imagined, to be honest.
    • Nintendo unveils The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake, and it's out this year by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe Confirming many rumors, Nintendo officially announced a remake of the classic The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, the very first game in the series that offered a 3D experience to fans. Unlike previous remasters and re-releases, the originally 1998-released fantasy adventure game is being remade from the ground up for the Nintendo Switch 2 console this time. "The Nintendo 64 classic returns for a new generation in 2026, reborn exclusively for Nintendo Switch 2," said the company about today's announcement. While Nintendo didn't go into much detail about the project, other than confirming its existence, we did get a small teaser trailer at the Direct presentation today. Catch the footage below: With a tapestry as the backdrop, the first half of the trailer tells the tale of Hyrule, the Kokiri forest dwellers, and their fairy companions. It goes onto introduce "one particular boy" without a fairy, which then cuts to a sleeping Link, showcasing what looks like the new art style being introduced in the remake. Unfortunately, no gameplay or a look at the world has been revealed yet. The game originally released for the Nintendo 64 back in 1998, offering a time travel adventure where Link is once again going up against the evil king Ganondorf. The hugely well-received title has only been playable on modern Nintendo consoles using the Switch Online + Expansion Pack membership. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake for the Nintendo Switch 2 doesn't have a firm release date yet, but Nintendo says it will be released sometime in 2026. Considering just how many publishers are avoiding the Grand Theft Auto VI release nowadays, the company may copy that strategy and also opt to bring this out before November this year.
