^ Nice.

I'm currently enjoying xxxholic. It's a fantastic, slow pace anime that you can kickback too. I have to admit that the "bunny" and twin sister sidekicks actually pull off the "moe" feel without acting stupid. :)

something tells me you're using the term mo? wrong.

also it seems that someone has managed to put Boku no pico on youtube without it being taken down.

Brilliant kick-ass fight between Byakuya and Kouga in Bleach with their individual powers, nothing more to be said (Y) :D

EDIT: 23,000 posts :ninja:

Radish?

Yep I enjoyed it as much Ichigo vs Byakuya. The camera effects and kouga's level of strength probably made it better

Live Action Movie of Kimi ni Todoke Announced!

According to Bessatsu Margarette February issue, a live action movie of Kimi ni Todoke was announced.

I had an inkling it was going to happen (Y), wonder who will play the role of Sawako?

Radish?

^Gonna be interesting to find out. I really hope they're going to do the anime justice. And about the Summer Wars DVD, I'll import it then :p

I've just watched the Ninja Scroll movie and I didn't like it as much as Sword the the Stranger. It didn't leave any impression on me. The story wasn't that good imo either. It was like they made a movie just to make a movie. A ninja named Jubei fighting a few opponents to make him look strong, only because they made it look as if those opponents where too strong for Jubei. Then of course he'll have to meet Gemma, someone who he knows from his past, who has been given a new body and a metal arm. A bulky muscled guy who throws a few punches at Jubei and then Jubei finishes him off by throwing him into hot gold, where Gemma just jumped out of.

Maybe this negativity is based on me thinking I was about to watch a good Samurai movie based more on reality then this. I thought this due to it being recommended to me after watching Sword of the Stranger.

Sword of the Stranger can't be compared with Ninja Scroll at all imo. Sword of the Stranger was a movie which was more based on reality then Ninja Scroll. The movie from Ninja Scroll might as well have been an episode of Dragon Ball Z, without the milking, energy balls etc. Though I'll have to say that I liked DBZ more then this movie :p

All in all, I feel like I've wasted half an hour to see this movie.

And now something more positive: Monday I finished Honey and Clover 2. Couldn't have thought of a better ending for the series. It was such a great watch with touchy moments and great humor spread throughout the series. I could also relate to some of the characters, which was scary yet interesting. I should thank Radish™ for recommending it to me :p

I also started watching Seirei no Moribito. First episode was quite interesting and it looked great visualy-wise. I hope the series will keep this up. Gonna be a nice watch, that's for sure :)

You'll be waiting a while

Glad you enjoyed Honey and Clover and it's sequel, one of the best in my book (Y)

True. Though I've waited this long, a bit more wait doesn't hurt :p

In my books as well. The OST was also very great with songs from Suneohair, Suga Shikao, Spitz and Yuki :D

I love Ninja Scroll because it features my favorite type of animation that's akin to Cowboy Bebop and some parts of Ghost in the Shell and not to mention the mature characters and the fact that it did not feature anyone under the age of 18 since I'm not enjoying the ever present child/teenage heroes/prodigies that save the world.

Ninja Scroll is closer to Berserk and Rurouni Kenshin. If you don't think it's your cup of tea because of the lack of realistic action, then I guess you were looking for the wrong thing at the right place. :p

I hope you enjoy Seirei no Morobito.

Well, I'm used to the fact that anime can have unrealistic action. Which is what I kinda like about anime; how weird things can be compared to the real world. Though Ninja Scroll wasn't what I had expected when it was being recommended after watching Sword of the Stranger. Also, another reason why I loved Sword of the Stranger a lot more is because of the interaction between Nanashi and Kotaro, being friends for live at the end. Whereas the chemistry between Jubei and Kagero felt to "sudden".

That's an interesting take. I never saw it like that. If you liked the interaction between Nanashi and Kotaro, then you should check out Kure-nai. Its animation is quite good too.

I've read a few things about that but always forgot to put it on my "Plan to watch" list, so thanks for reminding me :p Will search for it in a bit.

Just watched the first episode of TO which was great! Both CG-, story- and music-wise it was great. Big recommendation for people who are interested in the universe and space travel.

It would have got a better score from me if it elaborated more on Shinkurou's Houzuki weapon. Other than that, I enjoyed watching it.

I just completed xxxholic. It's an enjoyable watch that has one major problem: pacing. It feels like it could have been compressed but that would take away from the deliberate dramatic pauses. However, the art style unique to CLAMP sets it apart from other anime. On to the next season! :)

7/10

Anyone who loved watching Mushishi, Mononoke and Natsume Yuujinchou definitely should not miss out on watching xxxholic.

    • Seriously 1.8gig....so what. Any computer, if you are going to do serious work on, in 2026 should have a mimimum of 16gig and I would say 32-64gig is the way to go.
    • So again, you'd consider "I'm happy with my LG TV" to be a valid response to an article about PlayStation? I get the "I don't like any of their products" but how does that in any way invoke Linux? It just feels very random.
    • State of Decay 2, Blasphemous 2, and more join Xbox Free Play Days by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe The latest Free Play Days offer has just kicked off, giving Xbox players the chance to try out a new selection of games over the weekend. The offerings this time aren't as massive as last weekend, but there are still major releases for Xbox players to jump into. This includes Undead Labs' post-apocalyptic title State of Decay 2, as well as two Team17-published titles. Two of the games being offered this time are available to all Xbox players without needing any kind of Game Pass subscription. In the fully free-to-play section, you can jump into State of Decay 2. The title is both an action survival title and a community builder, letting players choose a map, set up their base, and try to keep the growing zombie threat at bay. Cooperative play is available too. Don't forget that the studio is preparing a third entry for 2027. Next, Blasphemous 2 drops in for Metroidvania and Soulslike fans, where The Penitent One returns for another adventure. The title has tough combat with multiple weapon options, deadly traps to avoid, and platforming sequences requiring a lot of patience and timing. Keep in mind though that the offer does have a 5-hour time limit attached to it. Lastly, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, Premium, and Essential members can now try out the WWII-set first-person shooter Hell Let Loose. The multiplayer game offers 50 vs 50 combat in massive maps, with infantry, tank, and artillery options available for players. Here are the announced games and the platforms they are available to play on: Hell Let Loose (Xbox Series X|S, PC) State of Decay 2: Juggernaut Edition (Xbox Series X|S, PC) Blasphemous 2 (Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One) To easily find the titles on Xbox consoles, first head to the Store, and then in the sidebar, find the Home section. In there, open the Subscriptions tab. The Free Play Days collection will show up in this area. This week's Free Play Days promotions will end on Sunday, June 11, at 11:59 pm PT.
