For those that care Mnemosyne is out on DVD today. In English

Women moaning in the dubbed version and on their knees would be hilarious! *resists a joke equating the depiction of the female protagonists in the anime to Twilight fangirls*

/still not over how disappointed I got over the trashy ending episode.

Oh, come on. You know the producers wanted to make hentai from that last episode. I must be either a troll or not the only one who thought that the two main female protagonists who are pseudo lesbians and somehow moan at male vampires and love to eat mysterious white liquid that come out of eggs. The last episode even featured a bisexual playboy who looked like he was in early teens and sexually harassed the protagonists!

Explain this:

^ Maybe they should have made the main female protagonist's chest bigger and make sure she won a wet tshirt contest too so it would really be hentai OVA series.

^Your signature set is pure win! :D

Baccano! sure is a crazy anime. It's awesome from the art to the characters and everything in between. Really enjoying it so far :)

I recently finished a series called Tokyo Tribe 2, a 13 episode anime full of style. It covers the story of a prostitute, a yakuza boss, two best friends and gang violence. It's directed by Tatsuo Satou, who also directed Ninja Scroll (the series), Afro Samurai and was one of the senior producers for Azumanga Daioh, Kino's Journey and Gunslinger Girl.

From first impressions, it felt like I was watching the love child of Samurai Champloo and Ninja Scroll. The heavy (cool) Japanese hip hop beats and the interesting, loud art style influenced heavily by hip hop culture made me watch this series in its enitreity instead of dropping it due to my pet peeve. The beat drops there and never picks up. The plot is disconnected, awful and goes from realistic to downright mindless cartoon violence. Flying limbs from samurai swords, a gang boss with a tank as his personal transportation, depicting one character as Hitler with mouse like feature and virtually no reactions from the police made me want to drop it. The plot is awful and I don't think I can recommend this anime.

Here's a sample of its redeeming quality. The opening credits are absolutely sick.

Isn't it a motorized figure that is limited to a few moves that a script kiddy wrote and is selling it for 100000% of what it's worth?

err it's By Volks from their Super dollife range which is on par if not better than most of the old 19th century German doll makers

This week's episode of Bleach was rather boring.

I agree. When they started to use all their reiatsu, I was hoping Kenpachi would pop out of nowhere to take over but it never happened

There supposedly was a sequel to GTO manga called GTO: Shonan 14 Days and was released last year and it's an ongoing series. New GTO arc and anime series?

Dude, how can you not be reading this already?! (being a GTO fan an all) :p Haven't heard any rumblings about an anime tho.

Radish?

:p Only 2 volumes have been released and it's going to another year at least before there is enough material for one season. Here's to hoping that it's actually good. I wanted to see more about the chemistry between Onizuka and Azusa and more stories about the same cast. It's disheartening to see a different setting and new characters. I'm more excited about the translation of Shounan Junaigumi! and Golden Boy.

One of my favorite female characters is Urumi.

I watched the live-action GTO film a few weeks back and it was pretty bad in every way :/ Oh how I yearn for a new GTO anime

I was right, wasn't I? Important characters were omitted and the bad acting was too painful to watch.

The GTO franchise definitely will get another anime series since it is one of the most popular, well known anime/manga out there. Its prequels are a must watch/read. They're much darker and more crude humor is injected. I aspire to become Eikichi Onizuka minus being the most powerful/feared bike gang member and bad history of delinquency. He's THE fictional character that I could relate to the most.

    • Looks like many years since the request was made, a directory tree view finally may be added. https://github.com/files-community/Files/pull/18537
    • There's this from last year https://gist.github.com/threat...364659a8887841aa43deca4efd9 but nothing about a buffer overflow that MS somehow can't code against. No matter what, it makes sense to take a "protected by default" approach.
    • Popular Windows 11 file manager Files gets improved tags, layouts, and new OneDrive icon by Taras Buria Files, one of the best third-party file managers for Windows 11 out there, has received a minor update to version 4.1.3. The latest release brings a few quality-of-life improvements and new features, including an easier way to calculate folder sizes, improved tags, a new OneDrive icon, and more. Starting with folder size, File now has a dedicated "View size" button for each folder if you have the "Calculate folder sizes" option turned off in settings. This improves performance and allows you to see each folder's size only when needed. Note that folder size calculation could take some time depending on the number of files and their "weight." Next, Files can now retain file selection when switching layouts. While this change is rather minor, it lets you keep selected objects highlighted whenever you need to switch, say, from a list to a thumbnail layout. If you use tags, you will be glad to know that Files 4.1.3 makes it easier to remove all tags. You can do that with one of the following methods: From the context menu — right-click an item, open the Tags submenu, and choose Remove tags. From the toolbar — when the Edit Tags button is pinned to the toolbar, the same option appears in its menu. From the Command Palette — open the Command Palette and search for Remove tags. You can also assign your own keyboard shortcut to it from Settings. The final visible change is the new OneDrive icon. Files now pulls the icon directly from the OneDrive executable, which means the app always has the up-to-date version. As for the fixes, developers resolved the following bugs: Fixed an issue with extracting tar archives. Fixed an issue where the Signatures page would occasionally cause a crash. Fixed an issue where the Play action wasn’t available when a single media file was selected. Fixed an issue where Smart Extract would extract archives to the wrong location when switching tabs. Fixed an issue where tag search excluded folders when grouping by type. Fixed an issue where thumbnails would sometimes fail to refresh after a file was modified. Fixed an issue where a BitLocker-locked drive wasn’t displayed. Developers also revealed what is coming in future updates. Soon, Files Preview will get a new Tree View sidebar, allowing you to display folders in an expandable hierarchy, which is a popular way to browse deeply nested folders. Expect the feature to arrive in the preview channel in upcoming updates. You can download Files from the Microsoft Store (paid version) or its official website (free).
