It's not really a focal point in FMA: B to be honest, could possibly change in the last six episodes of the series but the way the series currently stands I don't really see how.

Same, it's just merely a side thing in this anime. Her character hasn't even been seen in the last several episodes. The real focal point is the transmutation circle and the Homonculus.

It's very different from the first FMA when it comes to relationships then? The first FMA and the movie keep showing like Winry had a one sided, unrequited love for Edward while his adventures took him along too quickly for him to notice Winry.

You must know that FMA: B is completely different then the first FMA series as FMA: B follows the manga more closely. FMA: B is completely different after episode 15 till the end.

Bleach was amazing to finally see Ichigo in that form and it being animated. The fight was great, and drawn really well.

Some what of the same thing, but done much better in FMA:B. The music score and how the actress sounds when the lines are being spoken, and the timing of it, just brings this shudder to your body of excitement.

Me and my friend were talking about this last night. How great this series really is, but how it most likely will not get the kudos it really deserves due to what is all around anime and how it is viewed. We discussed how the original FMA had a great story, one we sort of have a soft spot for, and how it is just nostalgic. Then we talked how great this new series is, how the animation, coloring/shading, music score, actors voices and feeling were displayed, and the story, and it is all just top notch. There isn't really anything left out from the transfer of manga to anime. The series isn't too long for people to not get into, i mean we are only on the 54th episode and it's almost over.

Ranking this with such classics as Beserk, Trigun, or even Cowboy Bebop; this anime is on the same scale. Hell, Beserk was way off from the manga, but the anime still managed to do it some extreme and great justice. FMA:B is one of those as well. Every episode leaves you excited for the next, there is no filler, and the story is complicated enough to keep you enthralled and not bored. There are no characters that just don't belong or ruin it, and actually, everyone seems to have their own favorite character, which goes to show they have built up most of the characters just right.

It better not have the absolutely jaw dropping ridiculous ending of the last anime series. It probably was the most absurd connection between a fantasy world and a WW2 one.

There are only a handful of other anime that can reach how special that series is. The music was composed by Yoko Kanno, who never was trained formally in jazz. The storytelling and dynamic characters cannot be compared to anything Berserk, Trigun, Eureka Seven or even the first FMA. Its characters did not play any of the archetypes that are beaten to death in anime and manga. It took the copy of the amazing cast of Lupin III and made them better. From the typical unrequited love to the weak boy/man using determination/ridiculous power to overcome everything, the archetypes are ever present themes in Berserk and Trigun. Even after watching so much anime, Cowboy Bebop remains very distinct in my mind because of how unique it was when compared to all the different types of shows out there. It's a timeless work of animation because of its lack of pop culture references and its use of music that has transcended generations.

I would also like to state that the first FMA had one of the worst writing for a show I have come across for a mainstream anime. It even managed to use rape as one of its plot vehicles for the later half of its show. Its delivery might have been fantastic but its story telling was very average and at times insulted my intelligence as a viewer.

However, I might be cynical because I watched too much anime for my own good. The last time I was completely blown away by a series in the same genre was Legend of the Galactic Heroes and Rurouni Kenshin. I am actually excited to watch this show when it ends later this summer/early fall. I will withhold judgment.

Mark me as one of the many who see these two works as completely different works. Brotherhood won't be swept under the rug since FMA is one of the best selling manga series in Japan and anyone who wants to see the scenes animated would check this anime series out. XD You're just adding fuel to my anticipation for this anime series. End already so I can watch it!

Oh how I would've loved to be at that concert. Listening to those tracks still gives me goosebumps, specially the later. The OST from "Sword of the Stranger" also gave me goosebumps with the final fight (spoiler alert!):

Man, Sword of the Stranger was great. Animation and music were great, and the story was decent.

Masked, you could really start watching FMA:B and probably end up on the last episode by the time you finish. We are on episode 54... probably 10 more left, unless they drag it out, in which I could see roughly up to 20 more. Either way, it's almost over. It really is a great anime. I'll be sad when it ends, unless something just as great is born lol.

Sword of the Stranger was almost a flop in my eyes. The music didn't exactly match the mood or the fluidity of the scenes despite the stellar animation. The story was quite yawn worthy. It reminded me of how animation can carry a movie/series to only a limited extended.

I rewatched GiTS S.A.C. and I was still left in awe by animation quality. I love the references to the first GiTS movie. The realistic fight scenes (Batou practicing and boxing) were amazing. 2nd GiG pales in comparison since it's more fan service to GiTS fans and doesn't have the same sense of maturity behind its narration and character development. 'Tis a pity that 2nd GiG suffered from a far fetched plot and character interaction (Motoko's lame romance) and their animation. However, the soundtrack was amazing and had more of a foreign feel sung by Origa and Ilaria Graziano. Despite all of its flaws, the second season remains as one of the more entertaining sci-fi shows I've watched.

You're talking to the guy who was skeptical of the hype behind Hajime no Ippo anime series (loved the manga) and then watched 76 episodes in a span of 3 days and considered it one of the best sports/shounen series of all time.

Can't really understand why you though Sword of the Stranger was a flop. To me the story was really great and the music fitted the whole movie really great. But that's all just a matter of opinion anyways ;)

I loved the 1st gig more then the 2nd gig due to the Laughing Man case. Though I also really liked the 2nd gig, lol. I didn't really see the flaws in the 2nd Gig tbh.

New Naruto Anime tonight hopefully. Will Naruto appear in konaha in this episode? Can't wait till he finally does. After Bleach finally hit Ichigo's final transformation, Naruto has my attention now.

Oh Ya, New Naruto and Bleach Manga is already out. Both great. Bleach just keeps going! What is going to happen next chapter with Aizen and Gin and Ichigo? Especially after what Aizen revealed to everyone about the Cubes power.... there are some very twisted ways they could go with this. What if Aizen takes away Ichigo's power? What if Aizen didn't predict the total effects of the cube on people, and thats how Ichigo wins? Hell, what if Aizen has been using his illusions with the cubes illusions...... so much could happen! lol

Recently completed anim? : M?R Heaven

Plot Summary: Ginta is a Japanese high school boy who often fantasizes about a land known as Mar Heaven. One day, he is mysteriously summoned to the imaginary land, which in fact turned out to be real. Upon reaching there, he learns of powerful weapons known as Arms that exist in Mar Heaven. With the companions and friends that he meets during his travels, the group seeks to destroy the Chess, a faction led by the mysterious Phantom, which is determined to bring about Mar Heaven's Ultimate Demise for reasons unknown.

102 episodes of all out fun with a good all round cast of characters non of which you can ever really bring your self to dislike no matter which side they were on good or bad. Good story pacing with a few eps some might call filler but they didn't feel like it just a good fun ep to take in the story so far i guess they could be called how recap eps should be done. To sum up this show in two words would be GOOD END as the more loveable characters good really good ends despite it at times looking like they were just going to be killed off. I guess the only reason i give this show a go was because of the cameos in Hayate The Combat Butler. and im really glad i did.
