[Official] Anime/Manga Thread

Recommended Posts

Is there a thread with as much replies and activity as this one, that is not just a sort of spam thread? :p

On topic though, New Full Metal Alchemist Manga came out a couple days ago, showing what Ed and Al did after it ended. Was nothing really special, but mainly just showed them melting Al's armor down and turning it into useful parts that people will end up using. Looked like it would be 30 pages long, but ended actually around 17, and had nothing but filler advertisements for the rest. I was hoping for a little more from it, but it wasn't too bad lol.

Ghost in the shell:

19 years in the future.

AI.

Cyborg enhancements.

Cloaking technology.

Wireless communication built into your head.

Thousands of other technological advances....

Everyones still driving gas powered cars.

Who says it's actually gass? :shiftyninja:

K-On! Movie announced

At the end of the final episode of the second season, a movie of K-ON! was announced.

More Mio! :woot:

Just finished an anime called Zipang. So disappointing. Modern Japanese battleship gets thrown back into World War II. Really cool plot potential. The first few episodes were pretty exciting, but then it became boring and slow. I kept watching so I could know how it ended.

Didn't even have an ending. It was basically a normal episode and they just leave you hanging. Must have run out of production money or something :p

That's what happen when writer have a really good concept but don't know how to implement it. Just look at Occult Academy, it had a really good ending (and overall story).

And juresp I haven't seen any good anime like Ghost in the shell (I don't consider FF:SW as a good anime :p ) yet. I would sure be thankfull if someone else has any in mind.

Whoah, it ended?! I think I saw up to episode 11 or 12. I wasn't keeping track of when episodes were coming out. I'll check it out.

This weeks bleach episodes sucked big time, and looks like the next one will too.

It is actually better animated than it was drawn out. They are sticking with the manga well, but it seems more serious at least in motion. I hope they do his death justice, because in the manga, it was pretty lack luster. But after this, it gets totally awesome.

Just watched Broken Blade Movie 2 - I have to say it has potential.

Although more critically I might be watching it just because of the need to know the whole story of what happened in the past. :/

A few other ones I watched,

Kurokami -

everyone goes ssj4 in the end, Type Moon ending, I would say poor from the concept up, Sailor Moon / Digimon Tamers type power-up sequences, shornen;predictable, short.

Avoid at all costs.

Tears of Tiara -

Many useless female characters when it comes down to it, meh storyline (doesn't feel developed enough, some parts are good though!), hidden power type ending, good fights.

OK to watch, but not to re-watch.

Bleach is out, I'm sad thinking it's going to end :(.

Cite your sources. I don't want to be celebrating early. Also is there an abridged version?
