COD WaW or Left4Dead?

Recommended Posts

Maybe so, it certainly feels just like 4, but i don't see that as a bad thing. How many Obsidian games felt identical to their Bioware predecessors? Did that make KOTOR 2 or NWN 2 bad games? Hell no! And CoD5 has more perks, more challenges, vehicles, co-op and zombies!! It's totally worth a purchase. Now, with that said, is it better than L4D? My love of zombies makes that a very difficult question to answer. Why can't "buy both" be the solution? I did...

I'll have to check the manual, but I'm thinking maybe so. It is the co-opiest co-op game I've ever played. The "take a break" feature that causes the AI to take over for you while you go AFK is awesome, the AI will also automatically take over for an idle player. You can definitely do 2 player split screen, I'm betting 4 player is possible also. I hope you've got a big TV though.

Whoa, that's a sweet feature!

I'm going to rent that tonight, I have no money right now to buy it lol

Left 4 Dead for me. I loved COD4, even recently set about finishing all 1,000 Gamerscore from it, but World at War really doesn't sell itself to me. I really hope Infinity Ward make something more akin to COD4 with the next iteration of the game.

Going off on a tangent, but does anybody else agree that Gears multiplayer is just rubbish? It seems so random, especially the stupid shotgun battles which seem to a mixture of latency and luck, as to who wins. Shocking...

To add something else to this...looks like Treyarch is already planning DLC.

Activision hoping for 'two, maybe three' CoD: World at War DLC packs

And depending on how much you enjoyed Treyarch's first-person war-em-up, you might feel the same way. Speaking to MTV Multiplayer, Call of Duty: World at War executive Daniel Suarez teased the game's upcoming DLC, which is to be formally announced in 2009. Activision hopes to improve on the relatively modest DLC released for Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare by creating "potentially two, maybe three packs" before everyone's reeled in by the next CoD.

When prodded for specifics about Codwaw dee elsee, Suarez noted, "It's not going to be what we've done traditionally. I'll leave it a little bit mysterious." Ooh! You know what would be radically untraditional? Releasing a few maps for free!

We're just saying.

AJ, you reaaaally want me to buy WaW, huh?

How long have Larry and I been telling you to pick up Left4Dead now?

Shhh... I'll get to it one of these days...

Just adding that there is a good possibility of DLC for it, giving the game a longer life-span.

I really wish that in L4D there was an easier way to "practice" as a zombie. Since the playtime of a zombie is really only about 30 seconds each, I don't think there is enough time to master any one of them
