Diamonds for Michelle Obama

The man has class. Rhodium is approximately 8 times as expensive as gold.

How so? Is the conspicuous consumption of goods, especially something as trivial as jewelry a measure of class? All that proves is that he has money. He probably does have class. His acceptance speech shows that. Buying rhodium does not.

Whose money did he take, Fresh?

No no, I was not saying he took anyone's money. I was trying to state that some of us average Americans would also like the ability to use our own money to spend it on things we choose. So if he raises taxes, he is taking money out of the people's pockets. Taxiation for limited government necessities is acceptable i.e. military, roads. (both parties as of late suck at this)

That actually surprises me that he'd spend so much money on something like that. But hell, if he has that much to blow on a ring, more power to him. As many Americans are saying, "must be nice".

Tsk. I can't believe some people.. You know that $7 fast food you buy a few times a week? They can feed a family in Africa for weeks. Stop eating junk food and start giving your money!

Try to think less in numbers, and more in percentage. You spend what? 5%, 10% on luxuries? (upgrading your PC, consoles, etc). Well, so did he. Just so happens that 1% for him is slightly more than your 1%.

I meant it as elegance, not social rank. :|
