Getting a new Card, help.

Alright. So im finally making the jump.

This will be my LAST Upgrade for this year, next year ill have enough for a new pc.

Anyway, I am planning ON SLI for the hell of it, since i dont wanna put my old card in my closet and forget about it.

Now I was wondering, anyone can help me find a guide and tell me if it would be a good benefit of linking both cards up?

I do run dual monitoring but that doenst matter. I just wanted to add that in there.

Now, If anyone can help me Ill appreciate it. I just would like to know if SLI'ing would be a good idea. I know its not recommended, but I dont feel like putting my old card in the closest.

Why did you chose the 9600GSO? One 9800 would be faster than two of those in SLI, and the 9800 is not that much more... and you can still SLI...and it will be WAY better... ;)

I can. Got a 750 watt SLI Certified and enough amps so I guess im good.

Im going for a Single Card, since SLI'ing a newer series card with my 8 will make it run like my 8.

So what do you guys suggest under $150. With Shipping!

nvidia the 9800 is the best you are going to do. GTX might be a bit out of your price range but GT and GTS should be fine. ati you should go with 4850. it's a nice card... and around your price ranger newegg has it +-$10. from what you have.

Im gonna go with ATI or Nvidia this time becuase ati and AMD make a good combination and becuase I feel like trying out ATI. Hated the old series but ill find out about the new series.
