New product announced:

XCM Cross Battle adapter- Dream comes true ! Finally an adapter to connect your wired Xbox 360 controller to your PS3 console!

Product description : For Xbox 360 controller fans, now you can use your 360 wired controller on a PS3 console, plug and play, also a built in rapid fire function.

For many reasons people really like the Xbox 360 controller. The look and feel are second to none. Now those same controllers can be used on your PlayStation 3 console! For the first time you'll have the use of real triggers on your PlayStation 3 console!

No price or date announced yet.

XCM

wow what a useless invention they should make it work both ways so we can use ps3 controller on xbox

Useless? how?

I would find it very useful if it were to work flawlessly.

I dread the though of playing an FPS with those horribly placed analog sticks and pathetic excuse for triggers the PS3 has(IMO of course) and thanks to this I may not have to.

Bring it on (Y)

The problem is most devs know that the triggers are garbage and typically map primary fire to R1. So unless this device allows re-mapping of button assignments you'd be using RB for primary fire.

Why does it need an adapter to work? The 360 controller uses USB. If anything, I thought a firmware mod would be needed to get one of them to work. On the other hand, you do need the adapter to use SIXAXIS.

Ahh, so this is the workaround to the flaw in my idea (which was basically mass production of PS360 controllers, but obviously better). Just adapt it.

To those saying about R1...for those games just use a standard PS3 controller! I'll definitely keep an eye on this site.

at last some makes something useful! that will be a reason to use my PS3 for gaming

But Draken, they haven't modded the PS3 yet

Just joking with you...

I can easily use both controllers, but this should make the horde of controller haters around here happy! Good news

because it would be hard to sell a firmware mod ;)

anyone considering to Buy this thing? i am still a new user to PS3 and its been some good 5-6 years that i am having console in my hand now. so i dont know is it me with **** skill that i cant play FPS game (metal gear, Tom Clancy) or is it the PS3 sixaxis .

BTW one big Gears of War developer was screaming his disgust for PS3 controller and mentioning that as the reason he will never think of porting GoW to PS3. guess he can cut that reason off the list and try finding new one.

back to topic. Anyone here gets this and find its worth please post your experience :)

Update: It was my favourite guy Cliffy B who said he fucckingHates PS3 controller . :( :sobs: man..

http://www.videogaming247.com/2008/09/29/b...blu-ray-player/

?I hate the ****ing controller,? he told VG247. ?I?m sorry, I can?t stand the PS3 controller. I love the Blu-ray player.?

Bleszinski added that PS3 did have some good games, though, whether he likes the controller or not.

?I think there are some great games for PS3,? he said. ?I think Metal Gear?s great. Heavenly Sword was great. But at the same time, right now, I?m always working on Xbox with Gears.?

Is there anything he?d like from PS3, though? Os is he comfortable with 360?

?I?m pretty comfortable with 360,? he said. ?I like its controller.?

like its controller.?

Humm interesting. its as if, he like PS3 Console but like 360 Controller. very interesting.

wow. ok . go for it guys. even i will jump the ship and obviously will have to import it somehow if this thing really works. :)

ok . the automated censoring on neowing is ****ing with the URL i posted. ****ing is the word instead of starts. ****ing censoring thing as if only kids roam here..... or is it?

I've seen those, but I'm not sure how much Ben charges. He does say email for prices as they aren't hard to make, but to make and then (I assume) import to UK would cost a fair bit I guess. Parts, labour, shipping for a hand-made one-off product...:(

Now that would be a useless invention lol

i hate using my friends ps3 controllers, but i love my xbox ones, i have 6 and use them on my computer too (wireless reciver)

Lol. The experience won't be the same. It would look retarded to point an Xbox 360 controller at a PS3. Not to mention, six-axis wouldn't work. :hmmm:

1) Who cares what you are pointing at the monitor?

2) Sixaxis is just a useless gimmick, wouldn't be missed by a lot of players.

The only reason I can think of using an Xbox 360 controller on a PS3 is if you have both consoles and prefer using only one controller. Other than that, this is pretty much a "gimmick."

That is exactly the point of this device ... Took you long enough to catch on

    • Glow 26.10 by Razvan Serea Glow provides detailed reporting on every hardware component in your computer, saving you valuable time typically spent searching for CPU, motherboard, RAM, graphics card, and other stats. With Glow, all the information is conveniently presented in one clean interface, allowing you to easily access and review the comprehensive hardware details of your system. Glow provides detailed information on various system aspects, including OS, motherboard, processor, memory, graphics card, storage, network, battery, drivers, and services. The well-organized format ensures easy access to the required information. You can export all the gathered data to a plain text file, facilitating sharing with others for troubleshooting purposes. No installation needed. Just decompress the archive, launch the executable, and access computer-related information. Glow runs on Windows 11 and Windows 10 64-bit versions. Glow 26.10 changelog: New Features The bootstrapping algorithm has been completely redesigned. The software can now launch directly without requiring TS Preloader. As part of this change, the startup splash screen displayed during initialization has been removed. In addition, spikes in CPU usage have been eliminated, resulting in a more stable architecture with significantly lower memory consumption. The Microsoft Office detection infrastructure within the Operating System section has been enhanced. Additional detection support has been added for Office C2R (Click-to-Run) installations. Furthermore, the license status evaluation system has been improved, and the priority order has been revised as follows: Licensed > Grace Period > Other (NOTIFICATIONS, EVALUATION, etc.). Glow now includes preliminary support for Wi-Fi 8 technology, allowing more detailed information to be displayed for Wi-Fi 8-compatible network adapters. Glow now provides full support for Bluetooth 6.2. Adapters supporting Bluetooth 6.2 can be analyzed in greater detail and with improved accuracy. The disk distribution view in the Disk section has been modernized, replacing the traditional table layout with a new 2×2 card-based design. The TS Custom Controls module has been updated to v26.7. Thanks to the new custom controls, all Türkaysoft applications now offer a more modern and consistent user interface aligned with Windows 11 design standards. Bug Fixes Potential line-ending handling issues in the Office detection code within the Operating System section have been resolved. Additionally, the output format has been standardized to UTF-8 to prevent character encoding issues and ensure consistent data processing. Several stability and file management issues within the Debugging infrastructure have been addressed. Problems that prevented new log files from being created after Debugging was disabled, as well as issues causing debug records to be lost, have been fixed. File deletion and reaccess issues that occurred after file locks were released have also been resolved. In addition, a bug that caused newly recreated log files to remain locked after deletion has been eliminated. Unnecessary blank lines within debug logs and the extra empty line that could appear at the end of log files have also been corrected. A shortcut key conflict caused by assigning identical hotkeys to both the DNS Test Tool and the Donation page has been fixed. The DNS Test Tool can now be accessed using CTRL + Shift + D, while the Donation page is available via CTRL + Alt + D. Changes The service responsible for providing the Public IP Address and Internet Service Provider information in the Network section has been updated to use the ipinfo.io infrastructure. This change improves the accuracy and consistency of the displayed data. (No external requests are made while Hiding Mode is enabled.) Some terms in the Dutch and Korean language files have been updated to make them clearer and more user-friendly. [TS Updater] Before the update process begins, users are now prompted to choose whether they would like to view the release notes. Note: Always unzip the program before using it. Otherwise you may get an error. Download: Glow 26.10 | 1.8 MB (Open Source) Links: Glow Homepage | Screenshot | Github Get alerted to all of our Software updates on Twitter at @NeowinSoftware
