You got your Xbox 360 controller in my PS3

I think I'll wait for Rev.2

I think Rumble and Wireless support are key, then many more would flock.

Lack of sixaxis I guess for anyone playing games that use it - Maybe PSN titles, they seem to make the best use of motion control as it's usually for simple concepts, as opposed to trying to turn a complex manoeuvre into something done with hand waving.

But hey, it seems to be the FPS crowd complaining most, they'd probably just live with cons for FPS games, and use the DS3 for other titles/genres.

I definitely don't give a stuff about Sixaxis controls, regardless of game genre. It's definitely not needed in an FPS anyway. I've managed fine without it for this long (Y)

The lack of rumble is the biggest drawback imo.

Lies, you've already told me your GOTY2009 is going to be Flower.

I'm actually looking forward to it

Oh jeez, please tell me you're kidding lol

I suppose your next purchase will be that Japanese garden game :p

Nah Gardening ain't my thing.

It's pretty fun in Animal Crossing, but thanks to Nintendo rehashing 3 times in a row, I'm a bit burnt out on it there as well.

finally just got it today, came from Honk Kong so that could be why... Will have a review up in a few days max, but the very first downfall i see is that you need to have a Wired controller for it to work... hopefully the plug n play cord works, or it may take me awhile to get my hands on a wired controller :( i think i gave my original one to a friend or something, will have to check

Yeah we already knew that it needed a wired controller I'm sure? Anyways looking forward to it dude, but I'm pretty certain you'll need to get a wired controller. The play & charge only charges the battery. Same goes for when you use it on a PC.

I guess I zoned out on that fact, but no worries, turns out my friend gave it back to me when he gave me back a game I borrowed, so plan on checking it out as soon as work is done.

Larry's got his review up for anyone not looking at the front page: https://www.neowin.net/news/gamers/09/01/14...-adapter-review

Thank you sir. (Y)

Did you try using the Play N Charge adapter for wireless? (if you have one i.e.)

So do you need to send it back DL? Or are they letting you keep it?

Did you link them to the article? What did they think/say?

I just sent it to them a little while ago, will see how they respond.

I honestly did not try that as I read it will not work, but I will for the hell of it.

I also plan on trying the Keyboard attachment and the mic although I do not expect either to work, again I will do so just to see if they do.

If they do, I will update my review, if not, I will just post here.

    • The reviews you refer to mean nothing. Where there is no journalism there is no reason to call the gaming media's opinion pieces "reviews". For GP games there is indeed a metric for success - increasing subscriptions. Which turns in revenue. The only circumstance in which subs do not rise when great is being released is a Game Pass system where the company is close to fully saturated with customers in a subscription. However, in that case as the theory goes you spend aplenty in all kind of games - from shady live service cash cows and customer offending agitprop crap in purple colours to robust and entertaining single player games. And keep a solid level of profitability. Ignoring the simply innocuous but mid games MGS has released primarily of the second kind.
    • Report: Microsoft to use AWS to help GitHub deal with a major surge in demand by Pradeep Viswanathan Thanks to the surge of coding AI agents, GitHub's usage has skyrocketed over the past 12 months. To meet this demand, GitHub started with a plan in October 2025 to increase capacity by 10x. However, by early this year, the company realized that it needed 30x scale. This rapid growth has caused severe strain on the platform's reliability, resulting in several small outages over the past few months. In April, GitHub published a long blog post explaining the steps it is taking to resolve these reliability issues. In the post, the company also confirmed that it is working toward a multi-cloud architecture for better resilience. Today, Business Insider reported that GitHub is turning to Amazon Web Services to help deal with a major surge in AI-driven coding activity. It is important to note that GitHub is still in the process of moving completely to the Azure cloud. The current plan is to move the platform fully to Azure by 2027 so that it can scale better as per developer demand. Therefore, the current decision to utilize AWS might be part of a short-term plan to meet immediate demand. A Microsoft spokesperson confirmed that GitHub is using multiple cloud providers with the following statement: For Microsoft, the decision highlights the operational pressure behind the AI boom. GitHub has to stay reliable for developers at a time when rivals such as Codex, Cursor, Claude Code, and other AI coding tools are gaining attention. And the decision to use AWS for computing capacity seems practical given the circumstances.
