Prince of Persia + Gamepads other then xbox 360

Looks like a joke actually. I hate to mess around hours until i get my gamepad working...

And with Prince of Persia even that didn't helped. I managed to edit the gamepad name in the registry to something shorter but the buttons name showing in the tutorial are not the right ones to press. (1 is 4, 3 is 2 etc')

Confusing as hell. And for this type of game you can't really improvise.

no other choice then to buy a wireless 360 gamepad.

Logitech, you loose.

Microsoft...

Every game now developed with XBOX360 gamepad in mind, as the default option (for gamepad controls and not the keyboard) - because it's the most common gamepad in use at the moment and not bad gamepad at all (if not the best).

And if you don't want the wireless, why not just get the wired version?

I want the wireless, and that's what I'll buy probably. I'm just disappointed that a better gamepad (imo) will not be in use by me because Microsoft is pushing its own hardware in every possible hole while other companies don't have a chance.

Well that may be true, but they are actually developed with the new gamepad input standard in mind, support for that standard is required to get the GFW tag. Of course gamepads also need to follow these standards. The difference is that windows/GFW compatible gamepads now needs to follow a proper standard, so that games can be madewith gamepad support easier.

by havign one standard for the gamepads, the games can provide a proepr gamepad map and show proper button names and colors with the fancy graphics/images you get when you use the 360 pad.

how is it better though, nothing yet beats the triggers on the 360 pads, or een the original xbox pads. and the wireless technology in the 360 gamepads is by far the best wireless technology for use in gamepads or gaming equipment of any kind, better than BT or the standard fastRF Logitech uses.

That only leaves comfort, and the rumblepad fails at that for having duaslshock style analog stick, both in the round top and in the placement, heck it doesn't even have proper triggers.

I dunno, it may use the same frequency range, but that doesn't mean it has the same response time or anything.

And MS invested heavily in the tech they used for the wireless controllers to make sure it had the leas amount of latency possible, far below that othe competing tech's

How did you manage to get the gamepad working? I have a Logitech Rumblepad 2 (wired), and the game dows not see the device. I thought that it only supports the Xbox 360 Controller for Windows (which is outrageous), until I saw you screenshot. So, how did you do it?!

You don't understand my problem, i don't need xpadder. i can play the game with my gamepad but the in game instructions tell me to press the wrong buttons. Its very difficult to do combos while guessing what to presss when 1 is 4 , 3 is 6, 2 is 8 etc'
