Heroes Volume 4 : Fugitives

Recommended Posts

Yup, here we go again!! We have just begun settling down with the whole Elle is dead or not dead and of course who will be the "blond" female character that will die debates, but today we get word via EW's Ausiello that we should indeed plan for two "significant" deaths in Volume 4. Apparently one will be permanent while the other will not, but both are female characters.

So yes once again, let's start up the death pool!!

Who are the potential female characters that will die!? Claire!? Daphne!? Tracy!? Angela!? Of course there are other female characters out there but I would consider them minor, such as Maya or even Sandra. Plus, we do not know even where Meredith counts in this whole debate??

I know there is a huge backlash against Claire, but I can not see them killing an iconic character like Claire. Daphne is a possibility and could be the dead but comes back character based on the potential kidnapping spoilers about her. Tracy is definitely a possibility for death, but then return as her other sister Barbara and that leaves us with Angela!?

Could Heroes really kill off one of their best actresses!?!? I always felt there was a huge potential for Angela's character and Cristine Rose is an amazing actress.

I hope it's not Daphne. I really like her character and hope she stays around for a long time. Claire is starting to get on my nerves more and more and I would love for her to just go away, but I doubt that would happen. Tracy should have never been there and I really don't like Ali Larter as an actress at all, so I'd also like her to go away. Angela should not go. As evil and conniving as she is, I like her character. I can't quite put my finger on why, but I definitely think she should stay.

The man called Red Eye was determined to get revenge against the Kill Squad for all the pain they had caused him. He even went as far as kidnapping Anna, a young girl with powers of her own to help him. Over time, they came to know one another as more than captor and hostage, but that didn't mean the end of Red Eye's vendetta against the Kill Squad...

Interesting. Looks like Nathan even turned Peter in, which was assumed he did not based on the photos we saw at the start of Volume 4.

so if Peter does have his original power back... he will also get everyones power that is on that plane...

i agree, the volume 3 ending was abrupt, definitely wasn't expecting it so soon.

a question about the webisodes....are they a part of the actual series? or are they like a spin-off?

also, i dunno if anyone else noticed but micah's photo appeared in the batch that nathan petrelli had, so i'm assuming he'll be back on the show next season....i hope they don't bring on his cousin though, i kinda hated her...

any guesses as to who's coming back from matt's past?

and whatever happened to the girl by the way...molly? matt and suresh were originally taking care of her in season 2 correct? and then what, they go off around the world and just leave an 8 year old girl in some danky apartment in NYC??

There are way too many story threads left unexplained, mostly as a result of the Writers Strike...but I do think they should aim at tying up some of them, because it's getting a bit ridiculous.

The webisodes are made to clear up and fill in some storylines that are left outstanding, NBC never used the Knox series because at the time they felt it wasn't worth the time but they are showing now because theres the gap between the volumes. The new one the Recruit just shows you whats happened after Pinehurst was destroyed and a new girl (Taylor Cole) with a power.

I wouldn't give that much credit to the strike because most, if not all, of the writing of season two was completed long before the writer's strike occurred.

Why in the world would you put Peter on a plane filled with people that have special abilities? lmao... hopefully he gets his old powers plus some decent new ones. The ones he won't be able to get again are time travelling and invisibility

Yeah, and not being able to time travel will help with some of the complaints about the show. A lot of people didn't like that both he and Hiro could theoretically go back and fix anything.

Nono, Volume Two was DEVASTATED by the writer's strike. They had much grander plans, and everything would have made much more sense had they been able to go where they wanted to.

Did you see the special features on the S2 box set?

V3, on the other hand, was written after the strike, and can't be blamed on it.

V2 would have been amazing had they been able to follow what they originally planned. It was not supposed to end where it did. It was going to go on for another few episodes, and the seemingly unimportant parts would have been tied together.

The ending of Heroes suffered, but not the entire volume. Hiro being in feudal Japan was dragged on far too long, and that was the first five episodes or so, and then the volume was supposed to be learning about the founders of the Company, which was a huge let down, then there was the multiple times Maya lost control and her brother helped her gain control. All of this was unaffected by the strike, so yeah, the strike had nothing to do with season two sucking ;)

    • Linux 7.1 arrives with an NTFS overhaul and major hardware performance boosts by Paul Hill The founder of the Linux kernel has just announced the availability of Linux 7.1. This is a stable version of the kernel that will now be tested by various Linux distributions before it is shipped to users through update managers. Some users, like those on Debian, for example, might not get it for a long time, if at all, while Fedora users can expect it in the near future. With Linux 7.1 out on time, the merge window for Linux 7.2 is now open, giving contributors the opportunity to send in major new features that have been waiting for the last two months. Torvalds warned that he is currently travelling and will be in another timezone, so timing for the merge window may be irregular due to timezone differences and limited internet access. Torvalds said that he has already fetched early pull requests to allow him to do some offline work, but the travel could still cause disruption. Right now, he is not planning to extend the release, but did consider it. He said he might later regret not extending, though. In terms of this last week of development for Linux 7.1, Torvalds said there were no major or alarming changes. This week consisted mostly of smaller driver updates to GPU, networking, and sound, networking fixes, trace tooling fixes, and misc minor fixes. The shortlog this week lists fixes for driver bugs, memory leaks, I/O and USB fixes, networking and RDMA fixes, DRM/graphics fixes, and tooling and verification improvements. Specific fixes include USB series heap-overflow and buffer overflow fixes, and multiple use-after-free, memory-leak, and refcount corrections across subsystems such as i2c, zram, gpio, and net. There are fixes for graphics drivers, including amdgpu, i915, and virtio, as well as hypervisor and virtualization tweaks affecting mshv, vmbus, and hyperv. According to Phoronix, anyone running Linux 7.1 should look out for the new NTFS driver, Intel FRED for improved performance on Panther Lake and future CPUs, faster graphics with Intel Arc Battlemage, and improvements for older AMD Radeon GPUs. If you are running Linux on your computer and everything is fine, then you don’t need to worry about updating to Linux 7.1 as a priority; just wait for it to be pushed to you. If you have tried Linux on hardware but it didn’t work properly, trying again with a distro that uses Linux 7.1 could cause Linux to work on your machine, thanks to the new hardware support.
