Heroes Volume 4 : Fugitives

Recommended Posts

I just watched the scenes with Sylar again, and nope, there's nothing in there showing how they know who his dad is and where he is. The only possible clue was when the agent said Sylar's father was in custody, which Sylar immediately dismissed as a lie, so how the heck do they know who is father is? The best part of this episode was with Sylar, but even that is a pretty big plot hole.

What was the point of destroying of an air strike to destroy the evidence by destroying half of the plane?

Claire, yet again, being defiant and trouble. I sure didn't see that coming

I'm iffy on Matt now having multiple powers. In volume one, powers manifested naturally, in volume three, they manifested because of an eclipse, in volume four, as a result of something he ate in volume three, Matt is able to draw the future. So not only does being a prophet give you the ability to see future events, it also makes you a better artists than you ever thought possible. So, since Hiro went on a spiritual walk as well, why not have him see visions too? Perhaps it was the erasing of his memory by Arthur that negated this being possible, but if they wanted visions of the future to be a part of the show, they shouldn't have eliminated people who had that ability imho.

The whole operation of finding and detaining people with abilities is mostly a rehashed storyline that was already in effect when the show started, except this time it's government sponsored. From the start of sending them off, the operation has a major set back and government personal are dying... this operation is a mess to start with and won't last long me thinks.

My wife is losing interesting in the show, and she doesn't nit pick about half the things I do, which is really telling about the shape of the show. I think I'm already going to consider this volume a wash as well and have higher hopes for the fifth volume.

He lives near him so I suppose they might of been friends with him and knew where he was going to stay.

@revreddy yeah I think its because Rachel found out Angela was close to her mum and don't forget her mum isn't dead either.

Did a little more digging about Rachel's mom and the speculation is she is Leonie Pinkham. Apparently Leonie was previously believed to be deceased according to Suresh's original list of gifted people in season 1, but those final few seconds of The Recruit series shows she still alive. Beyond that, there really isn't much info on Leonie's ability might be.

Does this mean that people from the original list is inaccurate and those previously believed to be deceased will slowly start showing up?

@revreddy don't know I mean we were led to believe her ability is what drove her to suicide but we don't have any idea what it is. I am thinking maybe its something like Parkmans can hear everyones thoughts but she didn't master it.

Building 26 Promos

We have just been informed by a couple of our sources that the title for Heroes Volume 4 Episode 3x24 is "I am Sylar"

Hmmm I guess this means we will be getting another Sylar-centric episode, which is interesting because there is another one scheduled for Episode 3x19 titled "Shades of Gray"

I like the title and it is the episode before the Season 3 finale so it will be really interesting to see. I just wonder if we will see Sylar take the form of some one else and then reveal himself to say something like "I am Sylar!!" :p

There is one possibility that you are overlooking regarding Parkman. His ability may not be changing. Instead he could have been given that power by another Hero. That same person could have also given it to Issac and the African man. Not sure, but I recall that Parkman was told that he was chosen to be a prophet.

I know he was given the power, and it had nothing to do with his original ability changing, my whole point was that they have had three explanations of power origins (evolution, eclipse, formula), and now a fourth source is thrown into the mix when we've already had two people who have had precognitive abilities (Isaac and Angela), but instead of utilizing those people, they have other people have them (Sylar, Peter), which makes sense because one takes powers, the other leeches. This time around, however, they've gone in a direction that otherwise doesn't seem to have been possible by giving a seemingly random person with a power to see the future, when we originally had two others that could do this as well.

Sylar was given an address by Mr Gray, wasn't he? The watch repairman? Or has he already gone there? My mind is a little fuzzy at the moment, but I just assumed that Mary and Luke's house was THAT address.

Also, refresh my memory--who is Rachel again?

He went to the adress and the agents surrounded Sylar and Lukes house was next door.

Rachel is a girl that was part of the webisode series.

    • If they ever come out and say the AI is no longer accessible to the gen pop people aren't going to know how to tie their own shoelaces.
    • It's hard not to when they are shoehorning Ai into EVERYTHING. Some are active users by choice, I bet a lot of them are because it's shoved in their face the entire time.

    • Nearly half of American adults now use AI, but concerns are also growing by Hamid Ganji Since the launch of ChatGPT in 2022, the way people research, get their news, and perform routine tasks has changed dramatically. Now, almost everything around us has a touch of AI, and companies are trying to embed it into nearly every product and service they offer. With that in mind, new research shows how Americans are actually adopting this change and using AI in their everyday lives. According to new research conducted by the Pew Research Center, 49% of American adults now use AI chatbots like ChatGPT or Gemini. This marks a significant increase over last year, when only 33% of American adults reported using AI. Additionally, four in ten U.S. adults (42%) said they use AI tools to research information, while 38% said they use these tools to handle tasks at work. Entertainment, image and video editing, and getting medical advice are among the other ways Americans are using AI. Moreover, ChatGPT dominates the U.S. AI market, with 44% of respondents saying they use OpenAI's chatbot. Gemini follows at 24%, while Copilot and Meta AI account for 17% and 14%, respectively. Respondents also said that AI chatbots generally have a positive impact on their productivity and how informed they are. But when it comes to AI’s impact on society, Americans remain largely skeptical. About 40% of American adults believe AI will be more harmful than beneficial to society over the next 20 years. Additionally, 31% expect AI to have a negative effect on them personally. Another 31% of respondents say AI could be equally positive and negative. As for data security, pessimism remains high: 71% of respondents say AI will make their personal information less secure, while only 3% believe it will make their data more secure. American adults also largely lack confidence in both the government and AI companies when it comes to regulating and developing AI. About 67% of Americans have little to no confidence in the U.S. government’s ability to regulate AI effectively. Six in ten adults are also not confident that U.S. companies will develop and use these tools responsibly.
