WordPress 2.7 very slow with XAMPP

Question

I installed WordPress 2.7 today in my notebook to test my theme. I use Vista Home Premium & XAMPP. One thing I notice the extreme slowness, it can take 5-10 second to open a page. For god sake, it's a local installation! I even try to restart the machine, with no avail.

I don't have this problem in previous version in my laptop.

Anybody have the same problem with me?

@F7S

I almost re-install XAMPP or use another web server until I notice that Comodo BOClean tray icon is flashing all the time when I try to open the local wordpress website. This is quite strange, since BOClean supposed to be an ant-trojan program and never made any other sites in my local server to slow down. When I unload it, everything back to normal.

I think I already found the culprit! :rolleyes:

FWIW, xampp has problems with a lot of anti-virus scanners on Windows. It's like distributed version of PHP changes binary content each time, and the virus scanner has to scan it for each PHP page load. I noticed this when Kaspersky was acting up for each page load.
