People in India are going to have a hard time. It is coming at 1:30 Am here. That means that we will have to stay up because if we sleep and then wake up at 7:00 AM, that is 5 and a half hours later. That will be too late. Even 6:00 AM will be late. So staying up is the only option.

Crazysah

If you want it that fast, 1:30am isn't exactly THAT late, is it? Stay in bed a bit longer next morning, or wait and get your key IN the morning. 2.5 million keys won't go THAT fast.

2.5 million keys will only last a few days. There's already been around 50,000 ish downloads of the x86 torrents since xmas so count them out there's 2.25 million in wild and no doubt some will pick up more then 1 key so yeah they won't last long.

I don't see why people are getting so panicky about getting a key .. you don't need one to install, and you can use the re-arm after that!

It's because I'm sure people want legit access to this build and RC build to use for sometime to adapt and be comfortable with windows 7 legitly rather then use it for 120 days and have to keep reinstalling.

Yeah, I suppose so .. although being legit or not has never bothered me that much!

And re-installing is a regular thing for me .. every couple of months or so!

Makes bugger all difference though, does it? Site rules are no discussing of warez or where to get it. It doesn't matter what legal issues there may or may not be, the site rules say no, so you're not allowed to do it. As for the first amendment thing, that's the free speech one, right? Methinks you don't actually understand where it applies. This is a privately owned web forum, not a public area; and we're not discussing political issues either, so it doesn't apply.

Sadly you are missing the point and blindly following whatever rule is laid before you without question. At some point you have to step back and say.......why? Is there a valid reason, or is it simple arbitrary lunacy? And I thoroughly understand where the application of law applies, thank you very much.....which was part of my point Einstein.

You totally missed it then. There IS no free speech on a private web forum. Everyone here has to comply with the rules laid down by the owners of it, and if we don't, we're rightfully booted.

so mr. kiwiwiwiw r u staying up for this?

If you're meaning me.. indeed i am, 2 cans of V and 2 cans of relentless down... long haul flight in flight simulator x running and a big box of sprite and packet of cigarettes and desk fan running... happy camper ready for long night and to be one of first few in :D

The administrators (Neobond, Daniel, Remak and Frogboy) have laid the rules: no discussion of warez.

They are the head-honchos here and have absolute control of the place because they own the place so the rule is final.

It's not just a question of law, it's a question of public attracted by the forum: Neowin is a tech forum which goal is to discuss technology news, not a place to swap cracks and keygens.

There are plenty of some shady sites like this around, feel free to go there. Neowin would not be as good as it is today if it was just a hacker-delights forum.

lol @ first amendment, this is an international site, first amendment doesn't effect most of us...

And neither would any legal attempts to stop ya. Get the point now? There is another reason for the lunacy ;) And it has nothing to do with protecting Neowin. But go ahead and amuse yourself thinking the "rules" are ironclad for a legal reason.

And I don't see the point of waiting to pounce on MS's website for a key. Search Orbit30 ;) Hmmmm.....I wonder if I just broke a rule of some kind.

Back on topic: frankly, If I can get a download key, I'll consider myself extremely lucky. The servers are going to be hammered worse than for the Vista Betas: the fact that there are only 2.5 millions keys available will cause a stampede of everyone rushing to get its download.

92% downloaded... COME ONNNNN.....!! MSDN is getting absolutely hammered - It's been going anywhere from 3000k/sec to (like it is currently) 15k/sec! Never seen it this slow! :(

No one said that the rules are here for a legal reason, you need to get off your high horse. YOU don't understand that there is more to making things work than if it's legal or not, Mr. Lawyer. Neowin has respect from me and I'm sure from others (ie Microsoft themselves) that they don't want to lose by this site promoting hacking/piracy.

I repeat, it is not about legality, it is their reputation!! Tell me where it legally says in "the offical laws of the internet" that board staff are not allowed to make rules about what goes on here. If you're saying people can do whatever they want, then they can also break out into huge flame wars (which I suppose I am becoming a part of now), no big deal, or make threats to each other, right?

BTW, you probably won't pay attention anyway because I have barely any posts, but I have been a lurker for years.

No we don't get your point because it doesn't make any sense. We follow the rules because we want to participate in this forum, not because we fear some legal ramifications if the rules are broken.

Every community has rules. Participating in this community is completely optional. If you don't want to follow the rules, then why do you participate in the community.

    • Most boring game ever. Repetitive, empty, predictable, and full of cliches. Total waste of time and money, IMO.
    • Mafia: The Old Country expansion Man of Honor announced, brings back Salieri from original by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe During Summer Game Fest, 2K and Hanger 13 brought out a new Mafia: The Old Country trailer, revealing the game's first expansion. Named Man of Honor, this is slated to add two new chapters to the Enzo storyline that the game follows. There is an iconic character returning to the series with this expansion, with players set to run into Ennio Salieri, the future Don of the Salieri crime family. Fans of the original Mafia, or its Definitive Edition remake, may remember that name as one of the biggest characters in the storyline. This expansion is set prior to his rise to being the kingpin in the City of Lost Heaven. "Set in Sicily during the winter of 1905, Enzo Favara has proven himself a reliable soldier of the Torrisi crime family in the months since his initiation," says the studio about the new chapters. "Now, the Don entrusts him and Cesare with a delicate assignment of assisting Ennio Salieri, a man of honor recently released from prison and intent on reclaiming what is his." Working at Salieri's side, players will be heading into fresh environments as they return to the role of Enzo as a high-ranking soldato. The studio also promises brand-new weapons, fresh vehicles, and charms to collect in this expansion. Moreover, the expansion will add new content to the updated Free Ride mode. Alongside new collectibles and locations, this will add more challenges to beat alongside Salieri, which are described as runs that will "test the skills of even the most elite mafiosi." The Mafia: The Old Country Man of Honor story expansion will release on August 14, 2026, across PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5. It will cost $10 for owners of the base game to jump into.

    • Telltale returns with The Wolf Among Us, re-revealing the sequel and a new remaster by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe Telltale Games, the studio known for its episodic games from the 2000s, had a surprise appearance at the Summer Game Fest showcase today. The studio has gone through a collapse, an acquisition, and a revival but has largely gone silent in recent years. Today's sudden announcement was for the popular The Wolf Among Us series, with news about the sequel and a remaster dropping. Set after the events of the 2013-released title, the sequel will bring back Biby Wolf for a new adventure in Fabletown. This town of fairy tale characters is becoming unstable, with Snow White not being able to keep order as before. "When a brutal series of crimes threatens to fracture the fragile balance holding Fabletown together, Bigby Wolf, sheriff of Fabletown, finds himself drawn into a dangerous conspiracy that reaches deep into the city’s criminal underworld," says the studio. "As suspicion spreads across the city and powerful forces work against him, Bigby must uncover the truth and decide what kind of sheriff - and what kind of wolf - he is willing to become." At the same time, Telltale also announced The Wolf Among Us Remastered, bringing back the classic with a fresh coat of paint. This will include all five episodes from the original game plus over an hour of extra content that will offer behind-the-scenes videos, cast interviews, image galleries, and deleted scenes. The remaster will also have updated visuals and improved UI elements and accessibility features, alongside upgrades to the animations, audio, and frame rates. Telltale has been working on this project for almost a decade now, but if the new release schedule holds, fans will be able to jump into The Wolf Among Us 2 sometime in 2027. As for The Wolf Among Us Remastered, this is slated to release during this holiday season.
