PS3 games to look for in 2009

Gamefly FTW!

Since Savage Moon is already out in Europe, am I to take the silence on this board regarding that game to mean it sucks?

I did look into getting it the other day, read a few reviews that said it was quite good. Ended up buying Geon instead.

You'll have to import no doubt. VG+ or Movietyme are decent if you haven't already used them.

MLB08 was superb.

They took over a month to deliver Socom to me.

USE VIDEOGAMEPLUS.

They took a week to deliver R2.

Really? Must have been a stock issue then because they have warehouses in the UK. I ordered MLB08 from them and got it within 4 days.

Yeah but a lot of the time they ship from the USA to their UK warehouses, then deliver to you.

Yes, like I said if they have no stock. If the stock is already in the UK (as most older games will be), you'll get it quicker.

So in this case, if you are after a game that has just come out, AudioBoxer is correct - stick with VG+

Wow, just hoping for no delays, but I'm definitely interested in buying some of those games :D

I'll def be buying GT5, inFamous, White Knight Chronicles, Fat Princess and Flower. Will probably have a look at quite a lot of other games though (they look interesting but have to see how they turn out before buying).

I'm worried about 2009, there's just too much to play! Still got Resistance 2, Ratchet and Clank: Tools of Destruction and the Prince of Persia to complete (and possibly get rid of Far Cry 2, it's getting boring) on PS3. Then there's Call of Duty: World at War on PC too. With Killzone 2 and Resident Evil 5 coming out soon I'm gonna be gamed up to my eyeballs!

Well I really hope GT5 comes out this year. It looks stunning. But if it doesn't, I may purchase God of War III or Heavy Rain, and I'll always have the COD MW2 to comfort me throughout autumn. Final Fantasy well, I'm disappointed that they've gone to 360, but it'll still be brilliant. I need another 100+ Final Fantasy after playing excessively on FF12

Definitely recommend VideoGamePlus. I ordered MLB 08 from them the same day as I ordered my PS3 (from Amazon.co.uk), and MLB 08 came in 3 or 4 days - something like a week quicker than it took for my PS3 to arrive.

    • Well I've done a grand total of nothing, and it now clocks between 2010mhz and 1995mhz (stock is 1710mhz) and hovers around 80c, warmer than it used to, but tolerable clocks seem to have returned. Thanks for all the advice on this thread. Will review the evidence and make a choice.

    • I really wonder if this has to do with the built in VPN or "private DNS" of browsers that trip up legal requirements like cookie consent and Cloudflare (to avoid all the botnet attacks we get). And BTW some botnets still manage to get past Cloudflare, we are constantly having to tweak it to block malicious traffic that ultimately cause a DDoS.
