Chr1zt1an
Chrome 2.0 - even now is amazingly good. But it's missing 1 feature, well two.1) RSS Feed Handling. 2) Mac OS release. It's inconvenient, but I can live with that. Probably something that Microsoft needs to get sorted out. Can you open messages ? browse through folders ? Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/719486-google-chrome-20-pre-beta-now-available-for-download/page/2/#findComment-590387564 Share on other sites
KeR
Been using it at work as my main browser, and mind you I am a Web-Developer...its a very fast browser. Ayepecks
Chromium > Chrome. Just as stable, gets all the features earlier, and doesn't have the lame Google logo next to the minimize, maximize and close options  Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/719486-google-chrome-20-pre-beta-now-available-for-download/page/2/#findComment-590387632 Share on other sites
Bubbabyte
this browser would be perfect if not for the whole "contact form resubmission" bull**** every time you click the back arrow on alot of pages. It drives me nuts. Syanide
Still a long way to go imo, but it is fast. I'm using a slow connection and it is definitely faster than Firefox (I'm not talking program start-up, I'm talking surfing, for some reason it opens pages much faster than Firefox). Crazysah
Yep. On my 4 year old slow laptop using XP, it runs way faster than FF 3.1 B2! Brilliant job done by the Chrome team. Except they have jumped numbers far to fast. ViZioN
Thanks for the headsup. Agree about the version numbers, they're flying along  Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/719486-google-chrome-20-pre-beta-now-available-for-download/page/2/#findComment-590388596 Share on other sites
Belazor
I absolutely cannot get this to work on Windows 7. UAC pops up, and no pages load. They all snap to "about:blank". Kronir
Its fast, sure, but its also still pretty feature-starved (though this is gradually becoming better...eventually, it'll be like a real Internet browser and not some lightweight HTML viewer). Problem is, though, Chrome is the most crash-happy browser I've ever used. Maybe this new version is better, maybe not. All I know is I'm sitting this one out until the browser matures a bit more. In the meantime, I have IE8, Opera 10, and FF3.1 to look forward to. I'm particularly excited over the new Opera and IE. :) Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/719486-google-chrome-20-pre-beta-now-available-for-download/page/2/#findComment-590388794 Share on other sites

cork1958
Those 3 things are features people wanted? I have absolutely no use for any of them! This thing stunk the first time it was released. Dang fanboys will support anything!! Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/719486-google-chrome-20-pre-beta-now-available-for-download/page/2/#findComment-590388842 Share on other sites
Quillz
I'm still waiting to try it on Mac OS X. I think they should focus on that before the next 2.0 pre-release. Spartan Erik
I've been using this since the original beta stages, and I haven't used Firefox since (except in cases where pages won't load properly) Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/719486-google-chrome-20-pre-beta-now-available-for-download/page/2/#findComment-590389434 Share on other sites
LTD
I'm still waiting to try it on Mac OS X. I think they should focus on that before the next 2.0 pre-release. Agreed. Will be interesting to see what changes, if any, they make to the UI (of the OS X version.) Calum Veteran Posted January 9, 2009 Veteran Share Posted January 9, 2009 Thank you for the information. Whilst I much prefer Mozilla Firefox 3.0's features and the Gecko engine, Google Chrome has the best default user interface (especially on Windows Vista) and overall it is a much better browser than Internet Explorer, Opera and Safari, in my opinion. I just wish they would update the icons (folder icons, that star, etc). They look very outdated I think compared to similar icons in Firefox (which not only look like Windows Vista's or Windows XP's, depending on which operating system you are running it on, they also look much more modern). Xab
It's a good browser, but until they come up with a Adblock type thing, I won't be using it as a primary browser. Can't stand ads.
