gigapixels Veteran Posted January 9, 2009 Veteran Share Posted January 9, 2009 I'm not sure how many of you submitted your email to be notified when Crayon Physics Deluxe was released, but I just received it. It's $20, but I'm definitely picking it up. It's completely worth it. Anybody who hasn't heard of the game or tried it before can pick up a pretty good demo to see if you like it. http://www.crayonphysics.com/

Yusuf M. Veteran Posted January 10, 2009 Veteran Share Posted January 10, 2009 I remember this game! And that soothing music in the demo video. I'm definitely going to buy this for my younger siblings.
Azusa
I take it you don't need some sort of pen line input device to play it or does it make it easyer?
+Dick Montage Subscriber² Posted January 10, 2009 Subscriber² Share Posted January 10, 2009 No, it's only a cursor so mouse works fine.
Berserk87
got the email this morning in class. but I don't think the game is worth $20... it was a fun little time waster, but its not worth $20. world of goo is sooo much better. =)
Smigit
looks good. Would make a good DS or iPhone game if it isn't on those platforms.
Sethos
$20 is a bit steep for that, there's plenty of free alternatives that may not look as pretty but are just as fun. Might look into it once it goes on sale or drops a bit.
+Mystic MVC Posted January 11, 2009 MVC Share Posted January 11, 2009 I love the switching action one, that was cool. Not sure about $20, but hey, its your money.
D. S. Veteran Posted January 11, 2009 Veteran Share Posted January 11, 2009 I bought it for the PC. The developer deserves my support.
+Audioboxer Subscriber² Posted January 11, 2009 Subscriber² Share Posted January 11, 2009 $20 is a bit steep. $14.99 tops would've been better suited IMO, considering what $20 can buy you in today's indie/downloadable game scene (quite a bit). spenser.d
Penny Arcade has a bit about this game. It's pretty NSFW (language) so I won't post the image, but hit the link for a laugh. http://penny-arcade.com/comic/2009/1/9/ -Spenser

ozgeek
Wow. why haven't I heard of this before! I just heard about this and played the demo and loved it. I just searched neowin to see if anyone heard of this great game. It's a great game. MS should buy it off the guy and include it into Win7 to put more strength in touch and tablet abilities. Symbiotic Hat
Game was fun for a while but once you get into the later levels it's just a matter of tricking the physics engine into doing what you want. No thought or problem solving skills needed. This could have been a great game but lack of imagination in the level design just killed it for me. solardog
I agree that this game needs to be taken much further, but I really like the idea...I pointed my 5 year old nephew to it and he friggin loves it.
