It seems we are all late to the game :p

Not all of us. I watched Firefly after Terminator season 1 ended. I needed my Glau-fix. And yes, that scene was quite the nice treat. Be sure to watch Serenity AFTER Firefly though. Once you see the movie, you'll understand why. Summer kicks some major ass in Serenity though, definitely see why they'd want to use her for Terminator after that. Just bought it on BluRay, suppose I should re-watch it on my lovely new 40" 1080p HDTV :p

Funny - I just watched the movie again on TV. I never saw the TV series and now I read that it was cancelled, I suppose I will not bother. The cancellation of shows seems arbitrary and often unjustified, I loved the movie and it's surely time for a sequel but perhaps the moment has passed?

Wasn't it a Joss Whedon project? Yes, I am sure and he seems to avoid returning to his completed stuff. It's a shame 'cause we need to see as much Summer as possible. She is positively scary, it was difficult to keep the characters separated when she was in The Unit; well cast but too soon.

First off, just because it lasted one season doesn't mean its not worthy of watching, its better than the movie imo. Second it wasn't Joss' choice to continue or not.

Unfortunately I watched this show not long after the movie came out, whenever that was, 2 years ago or so I think.

Correction: The movie came out in 2005, so around 3 years ago for me.

I know what you mean. I've purposely restrained myself from viewing the show and movie for a second time since I first watched it. It's been about three years or so since I bought them and I have stuck to my guns. I want the next time to be as much like the first time :D and :(
