It was a travesty that they cancelled this show. It's one of my favourite shows of all time.

Serenity was amazing too, I wonder if they will make a sequel to that.

I remember watching that show when it first appeared and i loved the movie even more. I too was sad once they had canceled it however i know that the creater went on to bigger and better things ( even though i wish that they hadnt and kept doing the show)

Firefly had so much potential, it was so sad to see it squashed because Fox is one of the stupidest networks around.

Does anyone know a specific reason they canceled Firefly, was it just ratings or something else?

I don't believe in ratings, I think they aren't accurate sometimes :s

I'm pretty certain it was the ratings as well as the cost of production since the show pumped out some really nice quality CG for a TV show.

I hardly watch TV series anymore, I saw half of the new 24 tonight, but I decided I'm going to wait till it's on DVD.

24 is a show you should watch like 8 in a row :p

after seing this thread i 'got' some of the episodes. saw 3 so far and i think its great.

what anoys me is slow country music(especially when the show the ship)...its just not fit for space :p

Best SciFi series to date. My new fav is Stargate Atlantis but only because Firefly is gone. :(

That's part of the show you'll find, it's a hybrid of other genres, I quite liked it :)

I found it relaxing for some reason.

Firefly also has really good character development I thought, especially for the amount of episodes that there are.
