[Official] Dexter Season 4

to be honest the books are crap when you compare them with the series. Only the first book had resemblance with the storyline of the show and was a decent read.

The books are crap or the show is crap? The show is based on the books, not the other way around. The books are much, much better. They focus more on Dexter and not so much the lives around him like Rita. I enjoy reading the books a lot more than I do watching the show.

You make it sound like your unhappy with the books because they aren't like the TV show. The show is based on books.

Just finished Season 1, will start watching Season 2 this weekend. Loving the show :)

I found season 2 and 3 quite slow starters, but certainly gripping enough that you don't stop watching. Enjoy the shows :D

Yeah. I framed my sentences poorly.

I didn't like the books. Not because they didn't follow the TV show, but because I found the storyline in the books to be cheaper. The books appear silly when you compare them to the TV show. Its one of the rare cases where the adaptation is better than the source.

Kayla in Irvine, Calif.: Is Dexter's baby going to have the Dark Passenger inside of him as well?

As we teased before, Dexter is open to talking to his boy Harrison about his little secret, but as far as little Harry being a future serial killer, Michael C. Hall says, "He's yet to show any demonstrable signs to show that he wants to kill." Whew, because his dad being a serial killer is enough for one family!

Sally in Baltimore: Enough about Dexter and his new baby. What about his new stepkids?

Rita's kids are definitely growing up this season, but Astor (Christina Robinson) is headed into tween territory, and it's not pretty. "Astor has a little bit more attitude, and she isn't quite as happy just to be a kid. She's flexing her young-woman muscles, and it perplexes Dexter," show runner Sara Colleton tells us. Dex is finally going to get to play dad, too, when little A falls for the local heartthrob. "There's a very hip, cool, older kid in the neighborhood whom she develops a very big crush on." And Cody (Preston Bailey) is still blissfully innocent, with "a swimming pool next door and all the food that he can eat. He literally says, 'I want to be just like Dexter.' " Uh-oh, that could be dangerous. Stay tuned.

Im excited now, we haven't got that long to wait now!! Ahh!! I think I may have to purchase the books in the mean time see what I think.

Great preview. I've been rewatching Season 2 and 3 now that I got them on BluRay. I love how creepy he can look. Then just crack that smile and everything is good huh.

Also given that this is Season 4 and it obviously can't go on forever. How do you think it will end? Jail? Death? I don't see him suddenly not needing to kill anymore but that seems like the most logical way to finish it.

Haha, had a feeling you might post that when I saw it. I actually ordered mine and shirt this morning :$ I've been on a little Dexter binge recently. Rewatched Season 2, then 3, then 1 :) Now gimme 4!

I will say, Season 2 was my favorite, as I loved Dexter trying to protect himself, and the supporting roles were the best in that season. Doakes, Musuka, ect all amazing. Season 1 had a better story and more twists but I liked watching Dexter try and hide his kills. Season 4 looks like it will be amazing and probably my 2nd favorite. John Lithgow is going to be amazing as their new killer. Anxious to see if Lundy suspects Dexter again after he purposely loses another case so he can kill.

    • Limited Prime Day deal sees Amazon Echo Show 11 is at its lowest price yet by Ivan Jenic The Amazon Echo Show 11 is currently $149.99 on Amazon during Prime Day, down from $219.99. That's 32% off and $70 saved on Amazon's newest mid-size smart display (purchase link below). As its name suggests, the Echo Show 11 features a 11” Full-HD touchscreen, which is a decent upgrade over the Echo Show 8. It offers 60% more viewing area, which makes a genuine difference for recipes, calendars, video calls, or any other scenario where the smaller display can feel a bit cramped. The Show 11 is built around Alexa+, Amazon's more capable AI assistant that can handle natural conversation. You can make reservations, order groceries, and find content based on your preferences, instead of always having to give it precise commands. There’s also the Omnisense technology, which adds ambient awareness, allowing the device to trigger routines based on temperature, presence detection, or visual cues. Smart home control is built in without needing a separate hub, and the home screen doubles as a photo slideshow when not in use. Taking all of this into account, the Show 11 is a perfect smart addition to your kitchen counter or living room. At $149.99, this is a strong Prime Day buy for anyone already in the Amazon ecosystem or looking to build one out.
