I use ObjectDock because I love the black skin which goes very well with Windows Vista. I don't see what's wrong with ObjectDock and why many people prefer the uglier RocketDock. I tried that once and there was a reason I didn't like it, but I cannot remember.

When I get Windows 7, I'll do away with docks though and use the amazing new taskbar for everything :)

Yeah, I agree. I don't use a dock anymore (start menu for apps and sidebar for gadgets is sufficient), but I was always an OD/OD+ supporter. It has so many more features, and does just about everything better. I don't know why the others are more popular.

None of the above!

CircleDock!

One-click access to the programs represented by the shortcuts. A mouse with a middle-click on the scroll-wheel is perfect for this, as the dock rotates via the scroll-wheel.

Easy to configure, responsive, and very unobtrusive.

Caveat Emptor: This is Alpha 0.9; however. I've had zero problems with this software.

Bonus: It's Open Source!

The superbar

But when I was using a dock program , I used RocketDock, and it did the job very well. Nothing will ever beat Yz Dock though :p

No kidding. I was surprised when Windows 7 ran it without it being in compatibility mode. You would think Microsoft would have programmed a clone of it by now.

If there were a dock application that could serve as a task switcher as well I'd probably use one. I was using ObjectDock, and liked that. But in the end it was just a glorified Quick Launch bar with fancy animations. I like the Mac OS X dock, but none of these clones cut it. Wish I could minimize my programs to the docks, or place a folder on the dock then drag and drop files into it.

Until then...Start Menu FTW.

I've never heard of RKLauncher. I've tried Rocketdock before and didn't like it, it didn't have the features I needed. I use ObjectDock now. :D I don't even use the Taskbar; it's been completely replaced with the dock!
