Has to be something with decent story taking into account the gaming medium (story telling is nowhere near the level of film/tv show). Everything else is ultimately forgettable or upgradeable, as in FPS/Shooters/Action games and what not. They're fun, but if I'm choosing my "best game ever", I'm a story kind of guy and in that I need some level of sophistication and maturity. I really want more games with stories aimed at adults, not 14 year olds who want to cut up/shoot aliens. Can't wait for Heavy Rain this year for that reason :) Silent Hill gets a shout also, 2 is a great game. So sad 5 ended up being so mediocre.
