[Official] Killzone 2

I'll test it later, but is the bolded above anything to do with the aiming/moving?

People on GAF are saying they tweaked the dead zone/acceleration of the aiming. Minor changes, but they say it feels better. I can't verify any of this because I'm still at work. Patch isn't even out in the US yet.

Yeah

Killzone 2 patch has improved the controls

Killzone 2 has been patched to version 1.2. Minor tweaks have been made to the controls.

Some have complained that Killzone 2's controls are "plagued" by input lag. Some say that it is a deliberate move by Guerilla Games to make Sev's moves feel realistic and weighty. I personally think they are two different issues.

The latest patch includes a few minor tweaks to controller input, despite comments from Guerilla Games that no changes were to be made.

Some forumites are saying that the patch has improved the supposed input lag, including the removal of the controller's deadzones (there used to be a delay before turning).

I can neither confirm or deny these rumours, but download the patch and test it for yourself. And remember, be wary of the placebo effect.

[uPDATE] - More reports are coming in that the controls have been improved, but so far our information is limited to the multiplayer controls.

[uPDATE 2] - The control tweaks have apparently also been made to the single-player. Any changes are minor and do not impact the feel of the game. The changes might feel like an improvement to those who were adverse to the controls before the patch.

WTH is wrong with KZ2 online thing......for some reason......I level up and then when i quit the muiltiplayer game and check my stats - it doesnt show that I did......has anyone else had this problme?

Yeah I found that out. What i did was I played another round and my stats were back.

Sorry all I never got to hop on, or else I would have tried to set up a match. We will get one going soon, real soon.

I will actually try for sometime this weekend, would be pretty impromptu though so keep an eye on this thread, if I can set it up, I will.

And when exactly did they release the new patch? I read it here, launched the SP game after I read it about 5PM Eastern Time US, and never got it? So just curious, especially if they made the controls a bit more responsive.

Yeah I found that out. What i did was I played another round and my stats were back.

Or you can go to main menu and log back into Warzone, should update that way.

Its like in Halo 3 , the last match never appears on the web stats, really annoying little bug/issue.

So is there a server you all usually play on? I'm not sure how that works with KZ2 (or PS3 for that matter). Didn't get to play any last night because I went out. I might have some time to play today though. So I'd love to jump in with you guys if possible.

    • Onwards to Windows 12 then lol.
    • There is a long thread (128pgs and counting) that I've been following over at ElevenForums that has a method for updating Secure Boot even if there is no BIOS upgrade. I've used this method and had zero issues. NOTE:  I do not take any responsibility if this or any other Secure Boot method bricks your system -- YMMV!  Read carefully before using!
    • Yes, yes, YES, thank you AMD. Now display audio, night light, cleartype, etc, all work again.
