Feel free to discuss this version as much as you like, but do not post download links. Doing so will earn you a warning.

yeah i just saw that, makes no sense unless we really aren't getting seven until 2010 now.

That's what I'm starting to wonder...

Also: what's with the weird startup bug people are getting with this build? Microsoft's fault, or some kind of trojan/hack? And is there any chance this is actually the RC?

can't be the rc this soon. i mean if we really are not getting the final until next year, why release the rc build so soon?

Just a bug, you can get rid of that popping up by deleting the desktop.ini file.

Looks real as People have posted good screenshots, including a new startup/shutdown picture in the background. Will post once I get permission from the owner of the screenshots.

32bit

1. Proof of intact digital signature please, otherwise I'll declare it fake.

2. 32-bit only? :x

1. Your loss

2. I'm sorry, but what's wrong with the 32-bit? I have 4Gb of RAM yet I don't mind it, this build is only for enthusiasts, who are not looking forward to using this for more than 1 or 2 months, just to check out what Microsoft has been up to and what changes have been made.

Besides, this is LEAKED software, what are you expecting? And I'm sure there will be a x64 version VERY soon for you extremely picky people :p .

Ugh

+1

32 bit sucks, ill wait for x64 as well. i want to utilize all of my ram.

...Because?

I don't know what you do on your computer, but the 3.2Gb detected by the 32-bit version is more than sufficient for everybody, unless you work with 90+ Megapixels images on Photoshop or render computer-animated movies, but then again it wouldn't be very smart to do those things on a pre-release, leaked software, would it? :p

Well tbh I have no problem with either, Ive got 2gb ram and I'm using 64bit without any issues, 32bit worked fine aswell. I just made the switch :D I dont have any issues with either.

I agree. These 64-bitters are a little annoying sometimes...

Lol you said it! would be kinda dumb to be doing that on a prerelease, even with the stability of windows 7 at this stage.

    • In the past few days I have noticed two odd moderation activities. First, when I posted the term 'White Nationist Christian' it was asterisk's out. When I changed it to **** it was allowed! Second, in the Politics is a ###business thread I was allowed to post that the GOP is a party of p e d ophiles but I was censored  when I posted the GOP are a party of p e d ophile protectors. Wtf Neowin. Please explain.
    • BS, I've yet to run into a typical pc user that uses it at all, let alone half the population.
