nbetweeners star Joe Thomas has revealed that some scenes for the upcoming movie have already been filmed.

Speaking on Daybreak on ITV1, Thomas explained that the bulk of the film will be shot early next year.

"We're filming in January," he said. "That's the plan at the moment. We've done a little bit, but the principle shoot, if I can use that term, is in January."

Thomas, who plays Simon, also confirmed that the film will focus on the characters as they go on holiday.

"It's funny, it's the sort of holiday I did everything in my power to avoid going on when I was in the final year of my exams," he joked. "But yeah, it's kind of a mental, messy holiday."

'Inbetweeners' stars pen new WW1 sitcom

Simon Bird (Will) and Joe Thomas (Simon) are to co-write and star in new Channel 4 sitcom Chickens.

The Inbetweeners actors will play young men who stay at home during World War I while the rest of their generation goes to fight on the Western Front, prompting accusations of cowardice.

Bird said: "We're really excited to be working with Channel 4 on our first sitcom. It's a dream come true for us and we can't wait to get started."

Jonny Sweet - who performs with Bird and Thomas in the trio's sketch comedy group The House Of Windsor - will also take on writing and acting duties in the new show, reports PA.

Bird previously declared that he has always wanted to write a sitcom.

'Inbetweeners' to return for two specials

The Inbetweeners will return for two special episodes in 2011, it has been announced.

It was previously suggested by the stars of the E4 sitcom that a full fourth series was unlikely.

Channel 4 have now announced that two one-off specials will be broadcast next year to wrap up the programme.

The new episodes will follow the previously-announced feature film spinoff, which will see four lead characters go on "a lads' holiday".

Co-creator Damon Beesley previously suggested that a post-movie special could "finish the stories off by picking up with the characters after their [trip]".

The third series of The Inbetweeners concluded on October 18.

:woot:

I'm glad it was confirmed. I know it was rumoured. Glad to know it will definitely be back for two specials after the movie.

Now speculation on how long these specials will be. An hour maybe?

I'd say an hour.

Aha, and here is where it will fail. Whenever an episode or season defining scene exists, it will always try to be topped - losing something.

well you can only top testicle exposure once I suppose

IF you're waiting at a bus stop and hear a familiar offensive cry, don't say you haven't been warned.

The Inbetweeners are heading out on a rude road trip today with Jay finally getting to visit Minge Lane - and maybe even pop by Fanny Avenue and Titty Ho.

The four lads from the TV show are jumping in the yellow Fiat as they attempt to visit 50 lewd locations in 50 hours for Comic Relief.

I hope the dodgy red door doesn't fall off again.

SIMON BIRD (Will), JAMES BUCKLEY (Jay), BLAKE HARRISON (Neil) and JOE THOMAS (Simon) have all signed up for the challenge before they head off to Crete later this month to start shooting The Inbetweeners movie.

The road trip was arranged at the last minute because the charity's bosses were desperate to get the new comedy kings to feature on Red Nose Day - Friday, March 18.

Simon said: "We'll undoubtedly find some characters driving down Purves Road. And Joe will fit right in when we reach Bell End."

Addresses on the itinerary include Crabs Hill in Hampshire, Old Sodom Lane in Wiltshire, Tinkerbush Lane in Oxfordshire and Ugley Green in Essex. And while Simon never quite copped off with Carli on the show, he will now at least make it to London's Beaver Close - and Mudchute in the city's Isle of Dogs.

Comic Relief chiefs must be hoping the banter between the lads in the car will be as strong as it is on the show.

They've rigged the motor with cameras so all the action can be shown on Red Nose Day. Luckily, it's not in smell-o-vision so Neil's famous farts shouldn't be an issue.

James Buckley said: "We're never going to make it around all of the rude places in Britain so we want people to get involved too and send in pictures of themselves by naughty signposts.

"Send them to [email protected]."

Fans of the show can also donate at comicrelief.com/inbetweeners and will be able to download clips from iTunes with cash going to the charity.

The boys head off from Bush Lane in London at noon today before the Fiat careers around the west of England and the Midlands on the clunge quest.

After that nightmare journey to Thorpe Park, you'd think the lads would be avoiding road trips these days.

.

The Inbetweeners have joked that there will be five testicle reveals in their movie debut.

Speaking at the British Comedy Awards, James Buckley promised that fans would see a handful of genitalia shots in the big screen outing of the Channel 4 show. However, he added that they would all belong to co-star Joe Thomas.

    • I don’t get why if I bought the game on the last get I needed to pay $40 to upgrade to the new version in the first place and people who love the game and play a lot would have upgraded already so this is just PR and a chance to grab new players who forgot the game long time ago I think
    • The term "use" is doing a lot of heavy lifting in that headline. "Use" can mean opening ChatGPT occasionally to ask for the definition of a word or information about a specific topic. If you frame the question around how many people use it as a daily driver in their work or personal lives, that number is a lot smaller. Those are the people who pay for AI. Nearly everyone else is happy to use it for free, but doesn't see enough value in it to pay for it.
    • No support for Windows Hello!
    • I think you meant the "ntfs3" driver, but yes there have been a lot of fixes for it in this release and previous releases, not 100% sure if the issue you mentioned is fixed though. In any case, the new "ntfs" driver in 7.1 doesn't have that issue (at least, no reports of such have come thru), but your kernel needs to explicitly enable support for the new driver first (like how CachyOS kernel has it), and you need to edit your mount points in /etc/fstab to use "ntfs" instead of the other drivers.
    • Epic Games says Unreal Engine 6 will help developers "build content faster" using AI models by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe Epic Games is rolling out the latest major update to Unreal Engine 5 today, and at the same time, the company also dropped some information on the next-generation version of the product, Unreal Engine 6. This was already revealed a few weeks ago alongside the new Rocket League upgrade reveal. The company says it is combining the features of Unreal Engine and Unreal Editor for Fortnite to create this new version of its popular media creation tool. On top of creating entire games, the new engine will also focus on letting developers operate large-scale live service titles more easily, whether by shipping content into their own ecosystems or into Fortnite. The use of large language models is also mentioned here, with Epic saying it will be a core part of the engine. "We see LLMs, generative AI models, and tools like Claude and Codex playing a central role in helping you build content faster while maintaining the creative control you need," adds the company. Here is the rundown of what's new about version 6 of Unreal Engine: With all these changes to the programming model, portability upgrades, and generative AI integration, Epic says the new version of the engine will "change a lot about how games are made." The company aims to ship Unreal Engine 6 into early access in late 2027, with a full release planned for 12-18 months later. Epic Games also dropped a lengthy blog post about the new Unreal Engine 5.8 update for game developers over here. The release is focused on delivering better performance, customization, and streamlined workflows for development teams. This will be the final major update for this version of the engine before Epic switches to focus fully on Unreal Engine 6's early access launch.
