Think I read somewhere that blocking read access to avnotify.exe causes the reboots after updating, if that is the method you're using to stop the nag screen.

Installed it yesterday on Vista Ultimate x64. Running flawlessly but I have a minor problem-Why is it taking forever to update? :o

Is there anyone here that can give a detailed reason why they like Avira over NOD32? I'm using NOD32 right now, and it's really lightweight, but I've been hearing about this Avira a lot recently, and it's scored quite high on the av-test scores, so I'm just looking for some detailed feedback on how it compares to NOD32.

The one thing I love about NOD32 is that it never has to restart the computer, and from what I've read the same can't be said for Avira...

But yea, NOD32 vs Avira detailed feedback would be much appreciated :)

Not had that with mine. (Windows 7 (7057/7068)) No reboots or nags here after updates. (Y)

Haha, fair enough. But I'm looking for performance reviews, like virus-stomping abilities and how much the program bogs down the computer in comparison with NOD32...
