Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (Film)

Recommended Posts

I hate to watch half a$# movie, I was thinking I might watch both when the 2nd is released. I would doubt it though, I don't think I can last that long :p .

I haven't bought the blu-rays yet, I am waiting for the whizbang edition :D

Follow up, deffianatly atleast second best of all time if not first in the movies. Stuck to the book alot more in this one, Can't ruin it since we have all enjoyed the books but deffinatly amazing. Can't wait for everyone else to see it for a bit more indepth discussion. Great movie.

I just got back from the midnight session at my local cinema. Best one yet.

Also just got back from the cinemas too ^_^ Not my favourite since imo Prisoner of Azkaban is better (Garry Oldman ftw) but its my second favourite =3 Without giving away to much spoilers I think Hermione looks damn hot in this movie... hotter than her dress in Goblet of Fire :shifty:

Seen it this morning. I know that it was never going to be exactly like the book.

But a bit of a letdown for me if im completly honest. suppose it's kind of like the matrix sequels, were you have to watch both of them for it to be any good..(not that the matrix sequels were good, they were actually crap)

I had that feeling when leaving the cinema, that I'd need to see the next part to say whether this one is success/failure.

I loved it! I hadn't been reading anything (or watched trailers) for the movie itself so I was definitely pleased to see where they ended part 1.

I think my favorite scene was probably Dobby standing up to Bellatrix; Our whole theater erupted into applause. I only wanted to punch the girl sitting next to me twice so I'd say it was good ;P.

I just wish theater seats were more padding/comfy. My butt was hurting after 30 mins in and I felt too cramped. The aisles are not friendly to people with long legs.

Just got back. It was a very solid movie. Probably one of the most depressing ends to a movie I've ever seen, however, though only because they had to split it. It was done very well and they did a damn excellent job at keeping what needed to be kept and cutting what could be cut without affecting much. I'm stoked for the second part.

Also, anyone else think the artistic "Three Brothers" narrative was just fantastic. Loved it.

And the part with Emma...there just aren't words. I did have a laugh at the theater reaction, as most people didn't know what was coming there

I saw it at midnight too and I have to say unbelievable!

I swear when voldemort was right in dumbledores face at his grave, I was hoping for something crazy / magical to happen and for voldemort to go flying back, but it didnt happen and he got away with the Elders Wand!

All I can say is, perfect part one. The suspense was there, now im ready for the NON STOP ACTION "mind ****" that will be part 2.

ill be driving 2 hours to go watch it in IMAX DOME 3D style at midnight!

I dont want the series to end!

The Deathly Hallows animation was definitely awesome.

And the scene with Emma, are you referencing when Ron had to defeat the Horcrux? If so even I was like "Holy crap, would do her and I am straight!" lol

I watched it today... it might be because I haven't read the books but I was dissapointed, thought it was the worst one so far, nothing very much really seemed to happen.

Yeah that's pretty much my impression. The country scenes went on for a long time and there were just weird scenes they could of cut.

    • So, recently, I saw on the news (yes, on this website) that Samsung is introducing features where it can provide education using AI-powered sets, and because of this, I got concerned about whether the AI gives out wrong info during education sessions, causing controversies in the process. What are your thoughts on this?
    • TCL's Bang & Olufsen soundbar is 40% off on Amazon by Ivan Jenic The TCL Design Series A65K is currently $299.99, down from $499.99. That's 40% off and $200 saved on a soundbar tuned by Bang & Olufsen, which is not a combination you'd normally expect at this price point (purchase link below). Bang & Olufsen doesn't typically show up in the sub-$500 category. The Danish audio brand is known for speakers that cost several times more, so having their acoustic tuning on a $300 soundbar is very appealing. TCL handles the hardware, B&O handles the sound engineering, and the result is what the company calls "accessible luxury." Still, accessible luxury isn’t full-fledged luxury, so don’t expect wonders. But this is a decent soundbar, nevertheless. The A65K is a true 3.1.2 channel system with nine physical drivers, including genuine up-firing height speakers for Dolby Atmos and DTS:X. Many soundbars at this price simulate overhead effects through virtual processing, rather than actual hardware. So, you’re getting the real deal. The design is unusually slim for a system with Atmos compatibility. The bar is just under 2 inches deep and should fit beneath most TV screens. The wireless subwoofer is also compact at roughly 14 x 14 x 5 inches. Total output is 460W, and you can connect to the soundbar via HDMI eARC, Bluetooth 5.3, or USB. There are also eight sound modes through the TCL Home app and an AI calibration capability. Although it’s worth mentioning that AI capabilities in most of these devices are inconsistent, to say the least, and that shouldn’t be the biggest selling point. Still, at $299.99, the A65K is a strong buy for anyone who wants a soundbar that sounds and looks noticeably better than what this price range usually offers. And the Bang & Olufsen branding surely sounds nice - pun intended.
