it's red for me in firefox. blue in both ie8 and chrome. :huh:

I'm guessing that its not any particular browser, it just that the newest browsers (IE8 and chrome betas) support the custom color profile while others don't yet.

The car originaly is red. Because the license plate area with the D (germany) is blue. In IE8 the license plate area with the white D should be blue but in IE it is red. :p So to answer your question: the car is red, but IE renders the colors incorrectly.

IE8 doesn't do color management. Good to see that most users here are using browsers that do though.

that is so weird. can someone explain how color profiles cause this?

you can tell that the blue car is wrong though because the EU country code tag on the left of the plate should be blue but when the car is blue it appears red.
