I thought it would be useful to have a thread for posting bugs found in 7068.

Post any bugs you found in 7068 here. Also mention if x86 or x64, and if you've witnessed the bug in earlier builds or not.

I'll start with bugs I noticed so far, x64:

WinSat bug

Aero Graphics wrongly reports 5.9 instead of 7.9

already found in 7057, Aero Graphics was calculated properly before

Windows Colour Picker bug

If you try entering values into one of the six text boxes (Hue/Lum/Sat/R/G/B), it only permits entering two digits instead of three, as it should. Very annoying with apps who don't have a colour picker of their own.

already found in 7057, worked fine before

Gadget bug

Anime PC Meter gadget (current version 1.7.4) doesn't work properly anymore: display errors, flyouts don't work, causes constant cpu load of ~30%.

new bug, worked fine in 7057

edit:

Windows Colour Picker bug and Gadget bug are still around in 7106 :(

Task Manager bug is still present.

Double Click on a Graph in Task Manager, Double Click Again, Experience Bug.

You mean on the Performance tab?

... Yes, still there. double click on the graphs, the get scaled too big. Double-click again, some garbage graphics remains. Same as in 7057.

I noticed something screwed up with moving icons around the superbar if moving stuff that was after the first 11 or 12 icons, but as soon as I really started messing with it to get an idea of what was going on it stopped happening. I would go to swap an icon with the one next to it, for example, and they would swap back as soon as I released the mouse, or the icon I moved would end up switched around with the icon next to it, et cetera.

To be fair, though, I did perform an upgrade install instead of clean. Actually, I did worse than that... I went from 7000 to 7022 to 7048 to 7057 then back to 7048 (compatibility mode on the installer... haha), then to 7057 again and finally to 7068. I'm surprised this is the only bug I've seen, especially with that downgrade I tricked the installer into performing.

Here's one I haven't seen mentioned anywhere: jump lists appear a few pixels too low when the superbar is at the top of the screen. First occurred in 7048 or 7057, I think. If I call up the jump list by left clicking and dragging instead of via right click, it "snaps" to the location it should be, but if I right click to get it to show up, the location is about 20 pixels lower than it should be.

I can't understand why these small bugs have not been fixed and new bugs appear at this late stage of the proceedings ????

I wonder if Microsoft's new policies regarding code quality have something to do with this. Since everything has to be reviewed before it can be committed now, I guess it's possible for somebody to be working on a bunch of changes but to not have them accepted until later in development, hence the possibility of last minute changes causing bugs. It's still leaps and bounds ahead of their previous "commit whatever the hell you want" policy.

WMC is again throwing up frequent Copying Prohibited flags on my Analog TV channels.

Also when I goto right click and select a winrar menu context option its doesn't immediately register. I have to repeat it couple times before Winrar kicks in unpacks the said file. I noticed it in 7057 as well but chalked it up to an upgrade issue. This is a clean install.

On this new build the action center detects that Kaspersky is installed but says it cannot determine what its status is and wants me to enable the windows firewall. I presume this will be solved by a Kaspersky update as I have tried the Kaspersky Windows 7 beta version with the same results.
