Weird autocomplete/suggest

I get this little auto suggestion/auto complete box, it seems to be the same one affecting both IE8 and FF 3.0

I want to get rid of it

i have disabled live search in ie8 and disabled the remember forms etc.

It's built into the google. Not sure if you can disable it though.

If you install CustomizeGoogle, I think it lets you diable it.

How can you not think this is a good idea? It helps me LOADS. especially finding the most common search string for what I am looking for.

I dont know, i just find it irritating for some reason.

I usually hate these "innovations" companies try to force down your throat.

If there is a feature it would be nice to have a simple option to disable instead of some hard obscure method or workaround, cause not everyone will like the feature no matter great it may seems to some
