Every build after 7000 has a certain per cent of users experiencing random loss of internet both on wired and wireless connections. The bug defies troubleshooting, hangs on restart requiring hard shutdown, then resets upon start up.

Even though daily builds are notorious for having bugs not yet worked out, it seems strange this same bug would exist through so many builds.

Waiting to hear if it repeats in 7077.

Lost internet in second hour on 7077.

Cannot force change to XP driver (fails) for Linksys WUSB54GS adapter; the driver I am using is Vista, the only other one for my model.

Am swapping WRT100 (draft N) router with older trusty BEFW11S4 b/g to see if that helps. If it does I may buy a WRT54G router since WRT100 has been a pain (RMA'd twice).

Yes. I went from 7048 which had intermittent connection issues, to 7068 which seems to have problems loading pages left and right.

Haven't tried 7077 yet... but its getting progressively worse when using the internet.

It's not my connection as other people in the house seem to be just fine.

The first time I had it was with 7057. Now I noticed it again with the 7077 build. The weird thing is at home it kicks me and my wife off of internet (she has Vista), but we both still remain on the network, just no internet. I have to reset the router. I think this might have happened with an earlier (pre 7057) build and I thought I disabled ipv6 and that seemed to fix it. Might have to try that again.

I have not had this problem with any build from 7000 through 7077.

Same here (7000 through 7068). And if some have this issue while others do not, wouldn't that indicate hardware issues and not OS issues?

That would be the most likely suspect except that it never happens in 7000. As soon as subsequent build starts dropping net (2-3 times daily), I just wipe the partition and revert back to 7000 where it has never happened since release.

Some hardware issues are OS specific, as with Intel 855/915 graphics drivers which froze WMP in 7000-22, then while Intel ignored us it was fixed in builds 7048 and after.

You guys need to update the drivers on your wireless cards, as well as the firmware on your routers.

I've had absolutely no problems whatsover with my Intel N card and my Tomato-loaded Buffalo router.

Its not just wireless cards.

My laptop at home is wired and it drops every now and then ever since I moved past 7022.

My workstation at work which is also wired, dropped for the first time yesterday and required a couple reboots before it started working again.

No drops on my desktop and my laptop using both Ethernet and wireless. I have a realtek ethernet adapter and an Intel 5100 wifi chip inside. I used stock drivers on the laptop and used Driver Genius to get my ethernet driver off Vista and Windows update had a new one as well and that fixed some slow speeds.

    • Forza Horizon 6 gets big bug-fixing and balancing update by Taras Buria Today, Playground Games released a big Forza Horizon 6 update with a long list of fixes, patches, and balancing tweaks that the studio promised earlier. Version 375.327 is now available on Steam, Microsoft Store, and Xbox, offering users improvements for AI, audio, design, performance, road discovery, upgrades, visuals, online play, and more. Some of the most notable changes in the Series 2 update include rebalanced drivatars, particularly their difficulty and race start behavior. As such, the game should be more balanced on higher difficulty levels, and AI cars should not shoot out when the race starts as if they have rocket boosters. Speaking of difficulty, developers nerfed Drag Tires physics for a more expected and realistic behavior. They are no longer the go-to option for record-breaking times in road racing, and all leaderboard entries with drag tires will be removed. Completionists will also be glad to get a new feature that lets you see road discovery percentage in each region, which should make discovering all roads easier while keeping it quite challenging and interesting (I spent quite a long time finding the last road). Festival Playlist is also getting some much-needed fixes, including patches for bugs that allowed completing Seasonal Jobs ahead of time or where weekly challenges would not unlock for some players. Developers will retroactively give reward points to all who could not complete all challenges due to these bugs. Other changes include changes to Horizon Play progression so that it is easier to reach Level 100, audio improvements on lower-spec devices, fixes for visual glitches, including pixelated smoke, and more. Developers also addressed the currently non-working Eliminator, an online mode gamers used to farm credits with a Hummer EV exploit. Playground Games plans to re-enable it soon. As a gesture of goodwill, players will get a free McLaren Sabre. Those who used the exploit will not be banned, but developers plan to roll back credits to a maximum of 10M for all who farmed credits using the exploit. You can find the complete changelog for the latest Forza Horizon 6 update here.
