I have a suggestion: Rather than patch logonui.exe, change the value UIHost in the registry key HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\ to point to your logonui.exe. I have heard it does not like paths that include spaces or other characters, so I recommend you put it in C:\WINDOWS\Resources\Logons or something like it.

That is how Logon Loader works; it does not patch the system files but rather just sets that registry key to the selected logon screen. :D

this a well know problem :

Can't boot PC may happen from ntoskrnl.exe file which is problem in first 4.0 If you used 4.0, try 4.0 refresh. And this pack is recommend for English version of Windows XP not MUI.
