GIVE means "Bring this stuffs to your friend"

REDISTRIBUTE means "repack any file or some from my Longhorn Transformation Pack for new package"

Hope you understand.

And is all this legal stuff legal or is it just put in for that sake of it. I cant see how any of you can copyright this stuff properly with going through the proper authorities.

So people therefore can do what they want with it.

Thats what all this modding is kind of about isnt it?

WindowsX. My deepest congratulations, it was worth the wait.

Installed and everything works perfect! just perfect!

two things I need help with people:

1. how do I make the transparecy effect?

2. how do I put the image of my account back to the menu? it just displays my name...I have attached a file for you to see.

post-34-1068497225.jpg

My Keynote is just simulate transparent (Aero trans in Slate looks like white) and I tried to make it same as much as I can.

I've checked my setup resources and found this bug.

There's booting freeze error because it can't find ntoskrnl.exe if you didn't install new boot screen

Only one I found. I'll discover more this night and make patching become more stable as Mac OSX Transformation Pack (This time i'll use silent batch because more compatibility and better.)

Question: Is it possible to run the setup again and change which style you are using? I'm thinking if I get tierd of running Aero I could change to Slate and change the bootscreen.

Changing that part is changing system files which has sharing violation problem so it's best for uninstall and reinstall this stuffs.

I will you for the last time.

YOU CAN CHOOSE WHAT YOU WANT TO DO OR NOT! YOU CAN CHOOSE TO INSTALL ONLY THEMES, WALLPAPERS AND SCREENSAVER (WHICH IS COMMON PARTS THAT MUST BE INSTALLED) YOU CAN CHOOSE NOT TO CHANGE ANY SYSTEM FILES OR SIDEBAR OR AERO TOOLBAR STYLE. GET IT?

P.S. I'm uploading Longhorn Transformation Pack 4.0 Refresh which is my real complete work. Previous ones is not really done because i\of the situation that someone bring it to public place and then I have to release this imcomplete work! Refresh version is one that I really have done. If you're lucky, you could get it next day and do not release it before me!

this PS is mainly directed to me

im going to take the blame for this one... i f ucked up and put the link for longhorn transormation pack on that other thread.... i didnt realize Windows-X gave me that link to TEST the pack itself...he wasnt complete with it

so then he had to publically release it before someone stole(not sure if thats the right word....cuz i could be wrong on this as well) his work....

anyway hes working on a LTP 4.0 Refresh.... until he puts the link on here officially...im not going to touch it.... hell im not going to even download it until i see the link from his own posting

this should fix all the **** ups people were having...and now we shall wait for HIM(not to be confused with His Infernal Magesty :) ) to release it

By the way...someone was asking how to make "Aero" transparent...from the looks of Windows-X's screen shot... he is using Glass 2k

that program will enable u to get the transparency effect...i believe the program is freeware as well

Google Search for Glass 2k

You are never given the option to NOT ALTER:

explorer.exe

ntoskrnl.exe

moricons.dll

msgina.dll

shell32.dll

uxtheme.dll

People who don't know much about system files would never be able to recover the originals of these files made by ur setup program if they experienced an error with installation and canceled out of it.

WindowX, outstanding job on the LTP I'm looking forward to the refresh. I installed with no problems and everything is running smoothly. I don't like how the desktop icons look without the clear type text running but i put them on the task bar and that's ok too. again great work!!

    • Linux 7.1 arrives with an NTFS overhaul and major hardware performance boosts by Paul Hill The founder of the Linux kernel has just announced the availability of Linux 7.1. This is a stable version of the kernel that will now be tested by various Linux distributions before it is shipped to users through update managers. Some users, like those on Debian, for example, might not get it for a long time, if at all, while Fedora users can expect it in the near future. With Linux 7.1 out on time, the merge window for Linux 7.2 is now open, giving contributors the opportunity to send in major new features that have been waiting for the last two months. Torvalds warned that he is currently travelling and will be in another timezone, so timing for the merge window may be irregular due to timezone differences and limited internet access. Torvalds said that he has already fetched early pull requests to allow him to do some offline work, but the travel could still cause disruption. Right now, he is not planning to extend the release, but did consider it. He said he might later regret not extending, though. In terms of this last week of development for Linux 7.1, Torvalds said there were no major or alarming changes. This week consisted mostly of smaller driver updates to GPU, networking, and sound, networking fixes, trace tooling fixes, and misc minor fixes. The shortlog this week lists fixes for driver bugs, memory leaks, I/O and USB fixes, networking and RDMA fixes, DRM/graphics fixes, and tooling and verification improvements. Specific fixes include USB series heap-overflow and buffer overflow fixes, and multiple use-after-free, memory-leak, and refcount corrections across subsystems such as i2c, zram, gpio, and net. There are fixes for graphics drivers, including amdgpu, i915, and virtio, as well as hypervisor and virtualization tweaks affecting mshv, vmbus, and hyperv. According to Phoronix, anyone running Linux 7.1 should look out for the new NTFS driver, Intel FRED for improved performance on Panther Lake and future CPUs, faster graphics with Intel Arc Battlemage, and improvements for older AMD Radeon GPUs. If you are running Linux on your computer and everything is fine, then you don’t need to worry about updating to Linux 7.1 as a priority; just wait for it to be pushed to you. If you have tried Linux on hardware but it didn’t work properly, trying again with a distro that uses Linux 7.1 could cause Linux to work on your machine, thanks to the new hardware support.
    • you can also do this with this tool: PowerSettingsExplorer made by mbk1969 at 3dguru forum.. I found it by accident researching on modern standby and annoying quirks of it in 2022
