[Cancelled] Heroes Season 4 (Volume 5 : Redemption)

Writers/Producers Joe Pokaski and Aron Coliete revelead in an interview with CBR News that they are considering bringing back some forgotten characters. In particular, they mention Molly being at the top of the list. Who else could be on the list? That remains a big mystery for next season, but we will post our very own wish-list soon. We would love to see more of a talented cast that includes Monica, Luke, and West.

Our latest tidbit on Redemption comes from TV Guide. According to their article, Redemption ?will involve a series of mysterious deaths.? In my opinion, Redemption should give Heroes a fresh start. As it name implies, the show will be redeemed. Hopefully, our favorite series will leave behind not only the overly complicated plot lines, but also the big rating drops of Season 2.

Ali Larter hints at new powers for her character Tracy Strauss during the season finale of Heroes. During the Jimmy Fallon Show, she mentions that the return of her character, Tracy Strauss, will include ice, water, and steam. TV-Squad reviewer, Jason Hughes, said in his recent review of the season finale: ?There is an important return, which most people are expecting, setting up something that could work out very well for the series.?

It?s been confirmed by several sources-including Bryan Fuller and Ali herself- that Tracy Strauss is indeed returning for the season finale of Heroes.

^ Let me guess. Her frozen (ice) yet shattered body will melt (water). Then, for some odd reason, her liquid body will evaporate (steam). Finally, it'll enter someone's body and seize full control. :|

I think she'll reform her body, not take over another.

Sylar, using his shape shifting abilities, posed as Nathan Petrelli and vowed on national television to bring real change to America. Learning of this, Nathan and Peter Petrelli confronted Sylar. The ensuing fight lead to Sylar's defeat, but tragically also the death of Nathan.

Hoping to save Nathan, or at least some of Nathan's memories, Angela Petrelli instructed Matt Parkman to transfer Nathan's mind in to Sylar's body and to erase Sylar's own memories. Sylar, now looking like Nathan, may for all intents and purposes actually be Nathan.

Our Heroes now gather together at the funeral pyre of a Sylar body double. Some know the truth of what has happened, others do not. All stand together hoping that this particular demon does not rise from the ashes.

Let's see if I can create a monologue for the beginning of the next episode of heroes.

Through the magical realm of every day life comes a challenge like no other.

One would call the change a place in time to determine ones existence.

Others would consider it a place of lush and ever going comfort. As one

walks down the path of a wooded area and studies the grass as it sways in the

calming winds and the greenness looks as if to float off into the air, the

view of reality is studied and seen as small yet very controversial. No one

really knows what to make of the views and seldom does anyone ever thinks of

the endless possibilities that comes with its hidden meaning. Everyone in

life at sometime or another looks though the window of opportunities as a

passing view as strong emotion feathers by.

Greg Beeman Leaves Heroes!

Dearest readers, this is a sad moment for me, as it will be, not only my final blog for Season 3, but also my final blog for HEROES.

You see, I will not be returning to HEROES for Season 4. Ultimately this was a financially motivated decision made by NBC. They no longer want to have a Producer/Director position on the show. But it coincides well with my own innate wanderlust, and so, while sad to leave so many friends and comrades, I am excited for the future.

Having said that, while this will be my final blog respective to HEROES, it is not necessarily my final Beeman?s Blog ever.

..."Zach's not done," Adrian Pasdar tells TVGuide.com. "There's Nathan, there's Sylar, and there's the point of view that you have to factor in. If I look up into the mirror, who would I see?"

Naturally, the twist sets up an epic internal battle between Nathan and Sylar in Season 4. "Who's going to be able to control the actions of the body?" Pasdar teases. "Like one of those computers that self-teaches, the longer he stays in my body and the longer he assimilates my physical structure and DNA, the more control I get. So it becomes a battle of who's in charge..."

Ausiello: Tracy's whole revenge arc will serve as a centerpiece of next fall's "Redemption" volume.

I hope they don't spend too much attention on Tracy. Her revenge should be the centerpiece but I'm hoping they don't overdo it.

    • Google begins rolling out its post-Epic Play Store billing model next week by Karthik Mudaliar Google has confirmed that its redesigned Play Store billing and fee structure will take effect on June 30, 2026, in the United States, the United Kingdom, and the European Economic Area. The changes will let eligible developers offer their own payment systems or send users to an external website for purchases, while separating Google’s platform service fee from the cost of using Google Play Billing. The rollout puts concrete dates and detailed rate cards behind the broader Android policy overhaul Google announced in March. That announcement followed a proposed settlement with Epic Games intended to resolve their long-running disputes over app distribution and payments, although the U.S. portion of the agreement still requires court approval. Under the new billing choice program, developers selling digital content or services can display an alternative payment option alongside Google Play Billing. They may also direct users to their own websites to complete a purchase. Developers can use Google’s standard payment-choice screen or design one that complies with the company’s user-interface rules. Choosing another payment processor does not eliminate Google’s cut altogether. The company will continue charging a service fee for transactions associated with apps distributed through Google Play, regardless of whether payment is handled by Google, an alternative provider, or a developer’s website. Google argues that this fee covers the value and infrastructure provided by Android and the Play Store. For developers earning up to $1 million annually, the service fee will generally be 10 percent. That rate also applies to auto-renewing subscriptions. When Google Play Billing is used in the U.S., U.K., or EEA, Google will add a separate 5 percent billing fee, and developers processing payments elsewhere will not pay that additional charge. This means Google’s familiar flat 30 percent commission is disappearing, but developers will not necessarily see a dramatic reduction on every transaction. An in-app purchase from an existing user processed through Google Play Billing can still reach a combined 30 percent. The biggest savings are likely to come from subscriptions, smaller developers covered by the $1 million tier, and companies able to move customers to their own payment infrastructure. Google is also offering lower rates through its Apps Experience and revamped Games Level Up programs. Apps and games that satisfy the company’s requirements can qualify for 15 percent service fees on new-install transactions and 20 percent on existing-install transactions. The criteria include performance and reliability standards, support for additional Android device categories, and selected platform features. Those program rates are scheduled to become available in the initial markets and Australia on September 30. For consumers, the immediate effect will depend on whether developers adopt alternative payments and pass any savings on through lower prices. For developers, however, June 30 begins a more flexible but considerably more complicated Play Store economy in which distribution, billing, install dates, revenue thresholds, and program participation can each affect Google’s final cut. Google is also separately developing a Registered App Stores program designed to simplify the installation of qualifying third-party stores. That initiative is expected to arrive with a major Android release later in 2026 and will launch outside the U.S. first. Google says the rest of the world will receive the changes by September 30, 2027, although billing rates for markets outside the US, UK, and EEA have not yet been announced.
