Based on the very preliminary early metered market NBC?s Trauma debuted in a distant fourth place with a 4.3/7 (household rating/share). By comparison last night, Dancing With the Stars won the 9pm hour with an 11.0/16, followed by Two and a Half Men ( 8.3/12)/and The Big Bang Theory (7.4/11) and the season premiere of Lie To Me (4.9/7)

Heroes edged closer to having a fork stuck in it at 8pm with a 3.3/5. On a household rating basis that was down from Chuck?s performance (4.4/7) in the slot one year ago by around 25%.

The Jay Leno Show had a 3.9/6 at 10pm down more than 10% from its early metered market rating of a 4.4/7 last Monday.

It better get better ratings, and soon. Or they will cancel it. A 3.3? That's horrid.

Yeah I found it after I posted the question. For some reason I couldn't load Hulu at the time which is why I asked :)

Well, worst comes to worse, I honestly think SyFy would pick it up if NBC did cancel it. But they'd probably have to nuke the budget big time. Or cut the cast by...5 or 6? lol It's a known license and quite popular (though you can't tell with those ratings) but it's still a niche show like SyFy would like it.

I wonder how much higher that 3.3 is with DVR'ing included. Couldn't be much higher than a 5.0 really.

Yeah SyFy would be an option and by cutting cast I wouldn't mind it, some of the new cast i.e Knepper and the Deaf Girl are quite cool.

bye Suresh,Tracy,Claire,Nathan

I wouldn't want to see Suresh taken off actually. I'd like for them to really give him a storyline now, one that doesn't turn him into a spider-dood and make him evil-ish. :D

Tracy, eh could careless about her character. But not because of the story, because of how they handled the previous twin in the family lol. Claire, I'd keep her, because like Peter and Hiro, she's the core of the show (sadly). And Nathan, I'm assuming unless they pull out the magic-blood at some point, he's gone once Sylar returns. So, Nathan is a cut waiting to happen more or less.

I will keep Claire if she gets nude next week and gets down with Gretchen :shifty:

There's speculation on 9th Wonders that Gretchen is Lydias daughter...what you guys think?

Hayden Panettiere has admitted that she is secretly worried that a crazed Heroes fan will stab her.

The actress - who plays a girl that is able to heal herself in the series - said that she has been concerned ever since the show began that a supporter who takes the programme too literally might one day go too far.

"I'm just afraid somebody's going to stab me one day and think that my power is real and they expect me to start healing. I've been thinking about that since the first season," she confessed to Showbiz Spy.

"I'm like, 'What if somebody really thought I was indestructible?' Because I've heard some wacky things come out of people's mouths that you go, 'Guys, it's not real'."

wat

I'm done watching this show.

It use to be one of my favorites then it went down hill in season 3.

But this is season 4, and I loving it.

I almost cried during the deaf woman playing the cello... I think this was a strong episode.

How exactly is SyFy an option? Just because someone said 'hey SyFy could pick it up!'?

SyFy is owned by NBC Universal.

As is NBC.

Therefore, they wouldn't be saving themselves any money by simply moving it to a different one of their networks.

Now, cutting cast and production costs AND moving it, you might have something there.

But you'd end up with a Smallville type show, very small cast, very little special effects, and the reuse of sets over and over and over. Moving it to SyFy would cut the production budget in half, if not more.

If it gets canceled, its done. Its not getting moved.

    • Grand Theft Auto VI pricing revealed alongside Ultimate Edition and pre-loading details by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe Last week, Rockstar revealed Grand Theft Auto VI pre-orders will be starting soon, and just a day ahead of that, now the studio has announced the official pricing for the highly anticipated game. This has been a hotly debated topic among fans and industry veterans for a long time, considering the game is expected to be the biggest entertainment product launch ever. The confirmed pricing for the Grand Theft Auto VI standard edition is $79.99, which Rockstar says gives access to the "single-player experience set in the biggest, most immersive evolution of the series yet." This follows what most of our readers thought would happen with the pricing too. At the same time, a $99.99 Grand Theft Auto VI: Ultimate Edition has been confirmed as well, which lands with "an exclusive collection of premium vehicles, weapons, apparel, and action threaded across all aspects of Jason and Lucia’s story." Pre-ordering will also give fans extra bonuses, including a Vintage Vice City Pack of cosmetic items as well as a free month of GTA+. Head to the official website of the game here to check out all the cosmetic rewards the Ultimate Edition and pre-orders bring. Interestingly, the studio does not mention Grand Theft Auto VI multiplayer at all in today's announcement. Perhaps this will arrive later, following the campaign launch, or the studio is keeping that reveal for a later date. Digital pre-orders for Grand Theft Auto VI will begin on June 25, 2026, at midnight local time across regions for Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5. The title is slated to launch on November 19 on those same platforms. Pre-loading for Grand Theft Auto VI will kick off on November 12, giving players a week to get the game ready on their consoles. As for the physical edition, Take-Two has confirmed that this will be available without a disc, with the box only containing a download code inside. This will be purchasable starting November 12, giving players who take this route time to pre-load the title as well.
    • Turbo Pascal was my first real programming experience more than 30 years ago at university. I mostly taught myself from the included examples and help documentation, because the university only taught the basic syntax and philosophy of Pascal, without going deeply into Turbo Pascal’s advanced features. I still remember when I discovered that I could embed assembly language directly into Pascal code, call BIOS functions, manipulate screen memory, use mouse interrupts, and control peripherals from my programs. That opened huge doors for me. Programming back then felt really fun, direct, and close to the machine. What I loved about Pascal was its readability and the almost instant compile time. Turbo Pascal was an amazing environment, but unfortunately Turbo Pascal for Windows 3 did not feel like it fully carried that legacy forward. Later, Delphi got things back on the right track after the messy transition to TP for Windows. Sadly, Delphi suffered from years of uncertainty as it moved from Borland to CodeGear and then to Embarcadero. That instability made many developers lose confidence in it, even though Delphi itself remained a powerful and productive tool. I still work with Delphi from time to time, but I definitely miss the old days of Turbo Pascal.
    • I hope this encodes in to AV1 or AV2 as currently tiktok uses h265 and h264.
