arrrgh
Signed builds are out now too. And remember bug 488706 if you clear history automatically when firefox is closed (if you don't want your cookies wiped every time). Belazor
been trying this build, is it me or does it render a lot faster than the previous beta? :)Might be Placebo effect but it feels the same way for me.SunSpider seems to back up this feeling too, according to others, b3 did it in double the time b4 does it for me. Regardless, I'm quite happy with it thus far :) Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/763172-mozilla-firefox-35-beta-4/#findComment-590902468 Share on other sites
brentaal
Might be Placebo effect but it feels the same way for me.SunSpider seems to back up this feeling too, according to others, b3 did it in double the time b4 does it for me. The simplest explanation would be that tracemonkey is not turned on by default in Beta 3. Belazor
I turned it on myself though, but maybe it wasn't fully ready yet in b3, and its full effects wasn't shown until b4 :) Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/763172-mozilla-firefox-35-beta-4/#findComment-590902678 Share on other sites
CGar
I'm noticing a rather significant boost in rendering speed as well, I don't think you guys are imagining things Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/763172-mozilla-firefox-35-beta-4/#findComment-590902824 Share on other sites
ViperAFK
Noticeably faster than b3 for me and I had tracemonkey manually enabled in about:config in b3 so I know thats not why. beta 4 is simply faster. mancode20
It seems to have been removed. Not yet ready for primetime? I'm running the nightly, and it's great! I had an issue with Tab Mix Plus not working correctly, but I updated to a newer, 3.5 friendly version, and it works perfectly now. I'm wondering if I should try 3.6 now? Big enough difference from 3.5? I heard it starts up faster, so that's a plus. Something that's sorely needed in my opinion. If only it could start and run as fast and smoothly as Chrome! Anyone know of an extension that makes the tabs move so fluidly when re-arranging them like Chrome has? Without moving the tab bar to the top. Fred Derf Veteran Posted April 27, 2009 Veteran Share Posted April 27, 2009 Just because I missed the memo... I take it that Firefox 3.1 has been renamed Firefox 3.5. The last beta I downloaded was Firefox 3.1b3 and I assume this is the next release in that line.
