Am I the only one not seeing it on the ftp? I'm not going crazy, right? It was removed. You guys must've downloaded it before it was removed. I looked under win32/en-US, and nothing! I looked under update/win32/en-US, and nothing!

Well... The beta didn't work with my Google toolbar, nor with many extensions. FF 3.0.10 seems A LOT faster than 9 too. Gonna stick with this one! :)

Did anyone else lose there icc color management after updating?

Yeah, I lost CMS during one of the nightlies, the code's still there though (they overhauled it), so just re-enable it and it'll work ok*.

* ok as in the new cms code no longer does v4 ICC profiles, only v2.

Anyone know of an extension for moving the status bar to the top of the screen? Is that even possible? Like say under the location bar or bookmarks bar? I always thought it would be cool to have the status bar at the top.

Fission allows you to have it to the right of the address bar itself, but the addon is mainly for the safari style.

Yeah, I know about Fission. I just was messing around with it recently. Doesn't it only move the progress bar, though? I'm looking to move the entire status bar to the top. I don't see why this isn't a customization feature built into Firefox. Maybe it's hard to implement.

If someone wants to use Google Toolbar with Firefox 3.5 betas, you have to download an update from MOZILLA'S SITE, because the update button for addons don't work. The update was issued April 11 2009. :rolleyes:

Dammit, you can't select tabs anymore - to evaluate - in 3.1 you could click on a tab and you would see the little selections square on the tab and then with the arrow keys you could go left and right switching tabs. Quite neat if you are reading manga / porn. :(

Thanks for the info :) Does anybody use Nightly Tester Tools with these betas? Is it safe? I can't really work without some of my extensions and it takes ages for some of them to be updated.

I do. I had plenty of crashes whenever I go to a specific site. So I disabled some add-ons. After that, it's all stable. Can't tell which add-ons though that made it crashed :(

So I guess you just have to try and see if the add-ons that you are using are compatible.

NOTE: This is on 3.1 Beta 3 though

Thanks for that, I will try it :) As long as it's not harmful to my computer or will not corrupt my Firefox profile - those were my main concerns :)

That's the main reason I asked about the Nightly Tester Tools. I don't think I can do without Clippings to be honest. I think it took a while to be updated for beta 3 didn't it?

There are ways of making extensions work. Most (but not all) extensions will work correctly when "forced".

One way of forcing extensions to work is to type

about:config

into the URL bar, then to set

extensions.checkCompatibility

to false.
