[Cancelled] FlashForward - Season 1

Thank the gods it wont be back next year.

Apart from the special effects for the first episode, the season has been nothing but lack-lusture.

then why did you keep watching :p I love it when people say stuff like this makes me wonder why they continued to watch if they didn't like

For me, its usually shows I'm invested in already. Like Smallville. Or Heroes. Started good, so I put in 30 hours (or more like 3 seasons on Smallville) before they go down the tubes.

Have to see it through to the end. Now, that doesn't mean I'm going to watch it as soon as it airs, like I do with shows I still enjoy, but I'll eventually watch all the episodes.

oh I am opposite, I don't really care how long I put into the show the moment it starts losing my interest I ditch it.

Its same with me. Some of the episodes in the previous season of Heroes put me to sleep, yet I persisted with it because I was invested.

Anyway, FF is really rocking atm. Loved the previous episode. Hopefully the finale will offer some semblance of closure.

To be a little more specific on the date, the final episode will be on the 27th. I hope the final episode is at least decent/good for us fans, if not, it would be cool (but doubtful) of ABC to order up one or so more to close the show. Since some idiot(s) could not give it just one more season.

Season 1, Episode 21 "Countdown" Airing: 5/20/2010

Season 1, Episode 22 "Future Shock" Airing: 5/27/2010

Awesome! Thanks. Got yourself a + as well.. but to others out there.. I won't hand them out this fast to often. ;)

I will give a show I've put more time into a little more leeway but in the end I'm the same as you. Especially if I feel like it's going down hill and they do something really stupid. A kind of last straw type of thing.

Doubtful. They already filmed the episodes.

Just because they have already filmed the episodes does not mean they can not film another one. Sure this is unlikely but they could order one more episode to wrap it up more for us, if episode 22 does not give it enough closer or if especially it was cliffhanger. They could of already filmed an episode in case it did get canceled early too. I could be wrong on this but I believe Lost was always ready if the show got canceled to give us a "proper" ending. I know some shows have a plot or ending written out already in case of this and/or networks film an ending if it indeed gets canceled too early. Of course we almost never see this anyways but in one way or another it has sort of happened. Just look at Jericho, though I do know that was the community that was able to bring the show back just a little longer to give us some resolution (not that we did not want more).

But this is still doubtful to get done by ABC. Since if anyone watched Defying Gravity last year, ABC screwed that TV show and never aired the rest of the shows and pulled them off their site and Hulu. They were only aired in Canada on SPACE and then released on DVD. So I can only imagine ABC just does not care, as no network really does. TV networks such as FX and USA have a better chance of a show not getting canceled in its first season or later then ABC, NBC, etc do. Which is why I love those networks more and some of their shows.

we probably should of seen the writing on the wall when they cut the episodes down from 24 to 23 and then a week or so later down to 22

Goyer said he had 3 seasons of stuff already on paper but then of course he left...seeing a pattern here?

Sonya Walger has admitted that the upcoming finale of FlashForward will leave several questions unanswered.

The show was recently cancelled by ABC, meaning that it will not return for a second season.

Walger, who plays Olivia, admitted that the series' abrupt end means that some things about it will remain mysterious.

"There's some closure to it," she told E! Online. "But there's an awful lot left unexplained."

Well, isn't that just dandy! [/sarcasm] I just hate ABC right now. I'm going to be reluctant to get into another series on that network from now on.

They all do it. Its the reason I try not to watch the first season of a show anymore. But FF I had to, since I loved the book.

Kings last season on NBC was worse.

Defying Gravity ... argh.

I hate it too.

This is true, but it just seems ABC has been doing it more lately, at least for shows I like. But maybe it's just because they are hitting on my shows more then the other networks making it appear to be more to me. You are right though.. all of them do it. That's a good idea about not watching till the 2nd season too. I have done that with lots of other series even longer. Like Criminal Minds I let go until this year and watched them all on other networks until I was caught up. It's very kewl to watch several seasons of a show back to back, well more or less.

I miss that show!

'Flashforward' finale 'blew cast away'

FlashForward star Jack Davenport has claimed that the final two episodes of the show are "fantastic".

The series was cancelled by ABC earlier this month but Davenport, who plays Lloyd Simcoe, promised that it will end on a high note.

"The last [two] episodes are pretty fantastic," he told Entertainment Weekly. "We were all blown away when we read them."

However, Davenport admitted that the show will not be able to conclude everything in the finale.

He said: "Do I think the story could have gone further? Sure. No-one intends to do [just] one season - especially not with a grand concepty show like this. I don't think it will be unsatisfying, but it will not answer all the questions. The [producers] had to be mindful that they may only get one season, so there are some satisfying wrap-ups."

FlashForward continues tonight at 8/7c on ABC in the US and on Monday at 9pm on Five in the UK.

Waste of my time watching this!! Thought this show was great as well, shame it had to end so soon but what can you do? Same with Sarah Connor Chronicles :(

I agree, I really really got into that show, but was afraid it wouldn't last from the very beginning. People just don't seem to get these type of shows. I don't really know how V is surviving. But I'd be willing to bet it's not got a long future either. Some shows like the new Bionic Women one (can't remember what it was called now) deserved to be shut down. That one just plan didn't work well. I liked certain parts, but even I stopped watching it before it was canceled.

    • Lethal fake phone chargers are still being sold on Amazon and eBay, UK watchdog warns by Paul Hill Credit: Pexels The UK consumer rights organization, Which?, is claiming that “potentially lethal knock-off chargers” are still being sold on online marketplaces seven years after it exposed the danger of these chargers. In its latest investigation, it bought 15 USB phone chargers from several online marketplaces and found they were missing key information, meaning they cannot be legally sold in the UK. Which? bought the 15 chargers from seven online marketplaces. These were Amazon (including Amazon Haul), AliExpress, B&Q Marketplace, Debenhams Marketplace, and eBay. It said that the chargers were so badly made that anyone using them was at risk of electric shock. Over half the chargers also posed fire and explosion risks. Of the chargers purchased, one was a fake Apple USB-C 35W power adaptor charger. To confuse buyers, the box was branded with an Apple logo, but testing found it to be a fake. Further testing picked up arcing sounds after 10 seconds of use, where a current jumps between two parts of the electrical circuit, which can cause fires, explosions, or electric shock. The manufacturers of this particular charger also put modeling clay inside it to make it feel more weighty, robust, and genuine. Not all of the chargers were technically faulty; however, some were missing key packaging, markings, and documentation, meaning they can’t be sold in the UK legally. Which? said that it is now campaigning alongside a coalition of safety groups and businesses for new laws that make online marketplaces responsible for ensuring the safety of products that they choose to list on their websites. It also said the government needs to start using powers under the Product Regulation and Metrology Act, which was adopted last July, to impose safety requirements on online marketplaces via secondary legislation, but so far, there have been delays. No matter what country you are in, be sure to properly research what you are buying and only buy authentic chargers to prevent fires. You can read more about Which?’s research here.
    • Visual Studio finally gets long-awaited feature that developers will love by Usama Jawad Visual Studio Code is Microsoft's popular, lightweight, open-source code editor, it is actually Visual Studio that is the company's flagship integrated development environment (IDE). Although the IDE already offers a boatload of useful features for developers, Microsoft has finally introduced a long-requested capability that will be loved by many. While developers have already been able to create Git pull requests (PRs) directly within Visual Studio for the past couple of years, it had not been possible to review a PR without switching to the browser, until now. Microsoft revealed in December 2025 that it is working on UX that enables developers to do just that, and fast-forward to June 2026, and Visual Studio finally has native capabilities to open and inspect a PR, discuss feedback, and wrap up the review, all without switching to the browser. This integration works for both GitHub and Azure DevOps (including on-prem). Developers have access to multiple surfaces to open a PR, including Git Repository, Git Changes, and the Git menu in Visual Studio. Once you open a PR, all the important details will be immediately visible to you, from where you can navigate to various levels of granularity and branch states, depending on the reviews that you are engaged in. As you would expect, you also get a diff view that enables you to see code changes inline or side-by-side in a separate panel. You can also review commit-by-commit. Additionally, this UX fosters collaboration as you can leave comments, reply to threads, and resolve conversations easily. Naturally, you can also leverage Copilot to apply a code suggestion to fix a potential issue. When you are done, you have the ability to approve, complete, and merge the PR. This is a pretty major feature as it has been requested heavily for the past few years. You can try it out in Visual Studio 2026 version 18.7, made available here recently. Microsoft plans to enhance this experience further in future releases with comment filtering, a timeline of PR activity, and more.
