Has anyone noticed the new Live.com?

WTF? Do I have some secret beta version or something?

Rudy, can you switch to US and tell me how it looks? Thanks

I swear that the pics aren't fake. I can also make a video and show proof.

Hate to break your fun, but no. I have the same thing :D

Firefox 3 here.

I'm pretty sure if I reset the browser cookies and temp internet files, the live.com layout will be the same old one.

It might be a sort of glitch that I caught lol

The Live.com team does all sorts of tests quite frequently. Sometimes when you go to Live.com you get put in a random test group to see how users react to changes. It's completely random (to provide good statistical analysis), so you may have gotten into a lucky test! It's likely not a glitch, but just complete chance that when you went there Live.com put you in that testing group to see how you react to the UI changes and such.

@Recon415 -

The screenshot you posted is the usual Live Search for the US market. It doesn't have the same, Kumo-like UI which EddiePwnsYou has.

osnap.

Apparently I missed the stuff off to the side. In all honesty I've never bothered with Live search. Sorry lol false alarm.

Out of chance, I get the features too in IE8... Maybe it was IE beta only?

Not exactly, IE8 is required but not every IE8 user is seeing the beta. None of my non-beta accounts are receiving the cookie for this version.

Sorry for double post but this is another update!!!

Seems that this thing is cookie based.

See that I posted FF3 vs. IE8 in some post on the 3rd page of the topic? The design on FF3 was the old Live.com.

This morning I decided to import the cookies into firefox from IE8. Ta-da!

I have the new design in firefox too!

    • LOL. Can't even quote and edit a comment correctly. Figures you're a Linux user.
    • I have disabled it, but the app is still taking space. I have a Mac and it is only possible to disable Ai on that, but I think that bit does get rid of the AI components after a while. What we are told is that we agree to all this when we use the devices as it is in the end user agreements, their software, they can do what they like. I doubt that any bill will happen in the U.S, the government there are in league with big tech firms. The E.U maybe, they seem to have some guts when it comes to tech companies. The U.K is not in the E.U, but some things still affect us. Our government is as gutless when it comes to tech companies as the U.s government.
