I have searched for 2 hours trying to figure out why in Windows 7 (RC1), I no longer have the option to "use the same setting for all drives" from Vista and XP regarding the Recycle Bin.

Sure I can disable it per-drive. But every new drive I add to the system automatically gets a recycle bin. Very annoying. I am an advanced user and when I delete something I know that I want it deleted. I have never needed the undelete ability offered by the Recycle Bin -- I'd rather have the free disk space.

Well I'm happy to have found something that seems to work in completely disabling the recycle bin for all drives including newly added ones.

1) Run Group Policy (Start-Run-Type "gpedit.msc")

2) Goto User Configuration-Administrative Templates-Windows Components-Windows Explorer

3) Enable the "Do not move deleted files to the Recycle Bin" policy
