gamerboy
I was wondering how exactly I could set up my computer so that when I am on ventrilo, the voice chat will come through the headset while my music will still play through the speakers. I have Logitech X540 speakers and just an integrated sound card on my Dell XPS 420. I read that usb mics will set up their own audio channel and that it is easy to separate them from there. Is this true because I didn't want ot go buy one and then it doesn't work like that? If anyone can suggest and mic that will work like that I would appreciate it. shakey_snake
You could just send the music to the back channels and set Ventrilo to one go through the front channels...
gamerboy
Is there a program to do that or how would I go about setting that up?
shakey_snake
What are you using to play your music? There should be an option in the output or there should be a DSP somewhere to do it for you.
Nathanael
My onboard audio allows me to set the front and back output as two devices - it's a realtek. With that you could set ventrillo to output to a non-default device.
