I've had great experiences with WD in the MyBook and Scorpio Blue I have.

Yeah. Maxtor only had bad batches. I've yet to see a single MAxtor disk that didn't fail within one year, most fail within the first 3 months and had to be replaced.

They where the worst disaster in the history of HDD's

Well prepared to be shocked because I had a three-year old Maxtor put into a PC I built myself, and it ran perfectly for over a year... until the motherboard buggered up. :(

lol I like how just because he had a couple faulty drives he started a whole thread about WD sucking. People need to use a little more common sense before starting threads like this.

Every WD drive ive had has broken, i must say theyre not fantastic drives. although ive had one maxtor break on me too

IBM/Hitachi/Samsung have been very good to me so far
