I am very excited for the game. Will be staying up tonight to play ;)

Is it a definite midnight release? I have it pre-loaded on Steam so really just waiting for it to be unlocked.

A Slight Clarification...

Due to an ongoing debate in the office and online as to whether "12 AM" means noon or midnight (we're still sticking with midnight), it's been more challenging than we realized to tell people when exactly our game will be available. Factor in the Earth rotating around the sun, daylight savings time, some of our fans insisting on using the Mayan calendar, and we're just going to try and make this as specific as possible:

When L4D2 will go live:

* Monday, November 16th, 9:00 PM Pacific Standard Time

* Monday, November 16th, 10:00 PM Mountain Standard Time

* Monday, November 16th, 11:00 PM Central Standard Time

* Tuesday, November 17th, 12:00 AM (midnight) Eastern Standard Time

* Tuesday, November 17th, 5:00 AM Greenwich Mean Time

* Tuesday, November 17th, 8:00 AM Moscow Time

* Tuesday, November 17th, 2:00 PM Japan Standard Time

It's most likely something last minute cropped up that delayed release. As you mentioned, it's really simple to have it released automatically if they wanted.

This exact same crap happened with the demo, they should learn to have an at least semi on time release for once. All we need is a goddammn 128 encryption key.

I think you missed my point. :) There must be a last minute issue they found which is why they're intentionally holding the release until they're satisfied.

There have been a few posts on the Steam forums claiming that a dev said that there was a bug that they think is fixed but they are testing it to be sure. This does seem a bit last-minute for this type of thing...

No, but seriously - id be worried if it unlocked at midnight as it was promised. Gotta stay true to traditions.

True that. Why break such an awesome trackrecord when it comes to releases on time? :)

      yeah it seems to be Edge only. The dialog buttons work as expected in Chrome and Firefox. The phone is using Android 16 (OneUI 8.5) and Edge version  149.0.4022.53

      I'm not aware of this issue, but to help the other guys.  What version of Android are you using? Did you try a different browser? To see if Edge is the issue here.

      I agree when are you going to read this (really poor BTW) article? Here is a better article so you actually know what is going on and answers questions you had in other comments --> https://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2026/05/speed-boosting-low-latency-profile-is-one-of-the-improvements-coming-to-windows-11/ It is unclear if one will be able to disable the new profile at this point but I am not seeing any reason why one would.
